UPDATE: Jon Gosselin Tries To Stop 'Kate Plus 8'
Oh, now this is really getting nasty. Now that Jon Gosselin has been dropped from 'Kate Plus 8' (although he is still supposed to appear occasionally), he is trying to end the show altogether.
"Effective immediately, no production crews are to enter Jon's family home for any reason," a letter from his attorney says, according to CBS News. "In the event that anyone enters the marital property, Jon Gosselin will notify the local authorities to effectuate police action against any trespassers."
The letter is reportedly dated for the same day as TLC's announcement that Jon would no longer be a regular part of the show.
"Its pretty clear what's going on: Now that Jon isn't going to be on the show, he wants the show to end. All these years he's maintained that the kids aren't harmed by the show, but the minute he's removed from the show, suddenly its bad for his family," a production source tells PEOPLE.
Although there's been speculation that Jon wanted off the show, some are saying he was fine with filming 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' until he heard about TLC's change in plans.
"In the space of a few days, the show went from being something Jon was willingly participating in to something that is now detrimental," the insider says. "That sure was fast."
Since Jon and Kate jointly own the property, I don't know how this will play out. Something tells me Kate is going to find a way to keep this show going, though. And I can't help but wonder: how does Jon plan to support himself and help support his children if the show stops completely?

TLC has suspended production on 'Kate Plus 8' and issued a statement:
"We are aware of Jon Gosselin's recent statements, and remain deeply disappointed at his continued erratic behavior. He and the family were shooting as recently as last Friday, without incident, and his latest comments are grossly inaccurate, without merit and are clearly opportunistic," TLC said in a statement to PEOPLE.
"Despite Jon Gosselin's repeated self destructive and unprofessional actions, he remains under an exclusive contract with TLC. Direct filming of the children has been currently suspended, pending further conversations between both parents."

He spent 10 years actively participating in everything that brought them to where they are. I think he does have the right to stop it. Regardless of how he chooses to live, he is the father. And if this is what it takes to end this show then so be it. As for affording the house etc, be like the rest of the bloody world and sell that damnable house. Sorry but there are families all over the world that do not need a million dollar home to raise their children in. I don't care for Jon's behavior, but neither does Kate have the right to act like it's all been her. It hasn't, as evidenced by all the of people she has used and abused to get to where she thinks she is.

LOL....I don't think Kate or TLC expected this. He is well in his right to stop his kids from being on TV also so good luck to Kate and TLC on fighting this one. I believe John's lawyers plans are to seek custody and alimony from the more ambitious Kate. I mean with talks of her starting a new career with a talk show she surely will not be around alot, especially in Pennsylvania so he can live in the big house with his kids(BTW I believe he loves and adores those kids no matter how douchy he has been acting) and get his alimony money. Brilliant on John's lawyers part. You notice how I say John's lawyers because there is no way he conjured this situation up himself.

Until the courts find that he is in violation of his contract with TLC. I hope they drag his butt through the mud! I also hope Kate goes for sole custody now that he stopped the divorce for 3 months. This house sharing does not and will not work with this tool. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

I cannot imagine that TLC did not secure work permits for these kids...and weren't they investigated by the state of PA not too long ago an found to be in compliance? This is just sad on Jon's part. Sad and pathetic. He is on Larry King tonight...but Larry does not ask tough questions too often...hope he grills him tonight about how he will support the family if the show stops.

I'm sure if Kate was off galivant in france with people like Micheal Lohan, having flings with 22 year old party boys, and living up the big life in Las Vegas she would be asked to leave too! No one watches this show to see the children any more. Who is he protecting, exactly? And how? And WHY at this point? Why not when this whole "you're a cheating douchebag" debacle started?

I love how some of you say the kids are exploited and mistreated and abused....Do some research,people. You can hate all you want, but I think they were both pretty smart to start this show...those kids don't have cameras on them 24/7 ( at least not TLC cameras) They shoot select times a few times a week and special occasions. If they can secure the kids' futures with the money they make from this show, then I on't see a problem! If Jon doesn't want to do the show, then great...we didn't really watch to see him anyway! Some of you haters should read Kates book and try to understand what it was like to have 8 kids at one time. If sometimes she didn't sugar coat things to Jon, OH WELL. he's a parent too and should know what's what! I think he's a douche personally but I hate hearing people talk about how damaged these kids are going to be. They may be, but not from doing a few hours of TV a week. Look at all the advantages they have that other kids do not? But there is alot of downfalls that go along with it.
