Kate Gosselin Responds To Jon's Film Crew Ban & Jon's Lawyer Has His Say
Boy this just gets uglier by the minute. Earlier today, Jon threw a monkey-wrench in the filming of their TLC show, stating that it wasn't in the kids' best interest and also that TLC didn't have the proper permits to film the children. TLC then responded and now it's Kate's turn to release a statement:
"It appears that Jon’s priority is Jon and his interests … I’m saddened and confused by Jon’s public media statements. Jon has never expressed any concerns to me about our children being involved in the show and, in fact, is on the record as saying he believes the show benefits our children.”
And now Jon's lawyer, Mark J. Heller, puts in his 2 cents!
"As legal counsel for Jon Gosselin, I am totally confident that he will be completely successful in his quest to take back control of his family and preserve, protect and ensure their future well-being by putting the brakes on his divorce and pulling the plug on TLC, the media giant that he perceives as a monster that has exploited and manipulated his family and has been partially responsible for the breakdown of his marriage.
"Jon is resolved not to allow the TLC corporate machine to devour his family and promote the monster's best interests over those of his family.
"TLC and Discovery have been reputed to have generated approximately $186 million dollars for the quarter -- compliments of the Gosselin family, and Jon firmly believes that their greed to continue that cash flow will be trumped by his courage and determination to protect his family."
These poor kids. What. A. Mess. Maybe they should take a break as they sort out the new family dynamic - away from the limelight?
In other Gosselin news - Jon was photographed shopping for houses in the LA area today! I thought he just bought a place in New York?

Whatever the motive, it really isn't in the kids best interest! I don't have an opinion about Jon *or* Kate. But i hope the show gets cancelled because I cringe seeing children exploited. Those poor kids. It's one thing if they're babies, but they're old enough to realize their childhood is being video taped and sold. It's all kinds of wrong.

He is such a HYPOCRITE! He only supposedly cares about the kids the day after his name is removed from the show. This is nothing more than a temper tantrum. This is only to burn Kate. His concern is $$$ not the kids. He wants his piece of the pie and if he isn't going to get it he's taking his ball home so no one can play. He continues to show what a tool he is. I think it's worse than a temper tantrum. He's almost like the psycho ex who declares if he can't have you, then nobody will. I bet if TLC let him have some guest spots and paid him for it, this would suddenly be "in the kid's best interest." Alternately, if Kate tried to take him in for child support, he'd probably change his tune.

Yanelis1 - In all honesty these children don't know the difference because as long as they can remember the cameras have been there and following them around documenting their lives. It's just a way of life for them. Also it has been said time and time again that if a certain child doesn't want to appear in a episode then their wishes are respected so in a way they do have a say so about it. Look how many episodes Cara hasn't appeared in compared to Maddie ( the little drama queen LOL).

Why can't I help but comment on every post about the Gosselins?!?! Blahh....Anyway, this seems like a ploy from his new lawyer to try to get more money, seeing as how it has never been mentioned before the new lawyer was hired. A settlement is sure to be reached and Jon will go away quietly, after releasing a statement saying that TLC now treats his children fairly, etc. Either that, or he just has sour grapes about not getting in on that paycheck from TLC.
Who is giving him advice??? Doesn't he see he's just digging himself deeper and deeper! Come on! Wake up Jon! Kate you are sooooo much better without him! I hope Jon is successful. Regardless of his motives, I agree that TLC has exploited this family, and yes he played a part in that. That said, for whatever reason, it's time for the public at large to stop living their lives waiting for this family to implode/explode at their expense. As for Kate, I honestly do think she is the greediest of the two, and not for one second do I believe that she is doing any of this for the sake of her children. "Checks in with her children on a daily basis" - what a lie! She's so busy flicking her leg and being whatever she thinks she is on stage, that she has no inkling of what her childrens' best interests are. That video of her refusing Mady water, and drinking it herself, will always stick in my mind, as well as the way she hurt Alexis to make her stop. I don't care for Kate at all. There are better mothers out there believe me!

If Jon wants to get back with Kate then the best way to do that is to probably stop filming. But it doesn't seem like he wants to get back with her only put the brakes on the divorce....slow down the process. If that is the case then there is no reason why they should stop filming.

Enough already! Cancel this show! That people would support the continuation of this program is simply beyond me. Having once been a fan, I am nothing short of disgusted with all of this. For whatever reason, Jon may finally be doing something right. If the children finally get to lead a normal life, without people trolling outside their property for a look ... all the more power to him. As for Kate, get real woman. Sell that monstrosity of a house, and get on with it.

i think he wants to take control because they don't want to pay him any more. so he figures, if not me then no one. HOWEVER, he likely hasn't read his contract as thoroughly as this media "giant." he will probably get sued. and they will probably wait until after the divorce to do it. he is messing with the wrong people.

why does the show take side and choosing to side with Kate, everyone is jumping all to kate side because hse has the best advisors Jon and Kate made that show what it is why then is the show sticking its nose in and dropping him without him there would be no kids so why change something that has made them both very rich, i agree with Jon

I watched him on Larry King last night, and he's so full of crap. You could tell he was lying and pretending like he cared about his kids needs and not his own. Even this attempt to postpone the divorce is just a ploy to try and get TLC to document them working on their marriage, for him it's all about money. And on a sidenote, he looked like crap last night, his eyes were puffy and his pupils were really huge, not a good look at all.
So whats next ??
She's gross and so is he....the Grosslings, but very sweet kids. The two of them seem to care only about money and fame and forget about the kids or the dogs.

Is jon going to get a job to support his 8 kids? TLC sure was OK when they were supporting Jon and his family. He needs to rethink what he is doing. I have a feeling he has no idea how to support his family.

I just saw some more info on another site about Jon and the Divorced Dads Club show. Now, he wants to take the kids off TV but Hailey Glassman will have a regular role on the DDC show. I bet that will be great for the kids watching Dad making out and galavanting all over the globe with the gf on TV? The man is nuts!!! If he ever gets a show, please don't watch. Don't encourage his insanity.
I am glad he stopped the show. Kids can be mean and I hope the twins are OK. I can only imagine what they go through at school. I would be embarrassed.
