Oh my gosh! I can’t believe this is happening! Kandi Burruss from The Real Housewives Of Atlanta has lost her fiance Ashley “AJ” Jewell last night that involved an incident outside of a nightclub.
“It appears he was involved in an altercation in the parking lot and he received a severe blow to the head,” Atlanta Police Lt. Keith Meadows told the TV station. Jewell was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Kandi’s twitter feed reveals how the reality star feels about this situation.

The police report that they do not know what caused the brawl but the investigation is still under way.
We have developed a person of interest and we’ve made contact with him to question him about the incident,” said Lt. Meadows.
In the wake of this tragic event, Kandi’s Real Housewives co-stars are pulling together and offering their support. NeNe Leakes wrote on her twitter feed, “RIP AJ from the real housewives of Atlanta! My thoughts & prayers r with Kandi, his children & family” while Kim Zolciak wrote “please Pray for my dear friend Kandi and her loss.I adored AJ and he will be misssed dearly.”
How sad! I hope that Kandi and her family will find some peace throughout this tragic event.

Police placed Fredrick Richardson under arrest and charged him with voluntary manslaughter. Fredrick is currently in the hospital as a result of injuries from the altercation, but once he is well enough to be discharged he will be moved to a jail.
Kandi’s publicist released the following statement:
“Kandi is devastated as she is also mourning the death of her uncle, Ralph Leslie, and is attending his funeral today,” TreMedia said in a statement on behalf of the reality star Saturday. “She has no statement to make at this time and asks for privacy. There are no final details on the death of AJ.”
The police said they are still trying to determine what happened with the help of a number of “cooperative” witnesses. Police said that AJ worked at the club, although it’s unclear what position he held.

that relationship was a bit strained , but no one deserves to leave anything in this life like that. with all the turmoil between her mother and this poor soul it is sad to see how it turned out. GOD BLESS THEM ALL, INDEED!

That’s so horrible to hear. In times like that anything you can do to help cope is worthwhile… and if for her its sharing her feelings via twitter, then all the power to her for doing so.

I totally agree about the tweeting thing. It has gone too far. Tweeting during labor, tweeting after the death of a loved one, tweeting on a honeymoon……..attention seekers, attention seekers, attention seekers…..Twitter is the bane of civilized society,

my perspective is that she put that message out using her phone (twitter) so people would stop calling her. she said she wanted to be alone and to sleep. i took it as a convenient way to get that message out to everyone who would be calling, which would include not only her friend and family, but also the press. this is further confirmed by her publicists statement.

I feel so bad for her and his kids, I’m a fan of the show and I’m pretty sure he had 6 kids, some of them very young. My heart breaks for them.
I felt so sad when I heard this! I feel sorry for Kandi and the kids. I like Kandi and was a fan when she was in Xcape. She is my favorite of the RH of ALT.

Its probably easier to address people in a group rather than answer each and every phone call. She is probably still in shock. People grieve differently. It is not fair to criticize her methods.

Yea, that was confusing for me too. Ex fiance or fiance? Did they break up or were the other sites mistaken? Or are they calling him ex because he passed away? So sad for her. I really like her.
My condolences to his family & kids. Losing a loved one is the hardest thing one can go thru regardless of the situation.
