I wonder if Robert Pattinson would consider this a “quality role“? According to the UK version of OK! magazine, Robert is up for the role of Prince Harry in a movie called ‘The Spare’.
The movie… will cover the highs of lows of his royal experiences, including the death of his mother Princess Diana and his time spent on the front line of the Army in Afghanistan.
Director Peter Kosminsky, 52, said: “I feel a sense of compassion for the guy.”
“His parents break up in the most spectacularly public way, his mother dies in the most tragic and, again, public way and everything is picked over.”
Rob is reportedly competing with Rupert Friend and Rupert Grint, although the director said he would consider casting an American actor for the role, too. Who would you like to see play Prince Harry on the big screen?

I would love to watch the Prince Harry movie.But if RobPatz is casted as the lead I WILL NOT WATCH IT!! To play Prince Harry you have to have red hair! and I feel that a no named rising star should have the glory. not someone who can’t act and only makes his money because crazied fans LOVE him.

Well, I’m 31 and so in love with Rob. He’s just my type, I’ve always preferred younger men, and yes, I’m married to a younger guy, for 10 years now. I hated Twilight, but give me some Rob anytime :0P
ITA! I just don’t get this. And it’s sad, the title of this movie, horribly sad.
Maybe because it’s the fact that I’m closer to 30 than 13, but what in the world do people see in Robert Pattinson? I look at the picture above and I just don’t get it. I don’t understand why the girls go nuts for him. I’ve never seen Twilight, so my only assumption can be that he must play some sexy character in the movie and the girls confuse him for his character? I dunno, but give me Clooney and Pitt (ugly beard and all) anyday over that guy.
I love Rupert Friend and would be happy to see him cast in this role. I’m a mega Diana fan and would completely embrace this movie.

If you need to be convinced by Rob’s acting skills, watch “Little Ashes”. I am not such a Pattz fan, but he was great playing Dali! Back on topic, Rupert Grint looks more like the prince…
Am I the only one that finds it strange that someone is making a Prince Harry movie. Yes he’s hot and obviously has led an interesting life up to this point, but do we really need a movie? How strange would that be… have a movie made about your life, when you’re in your 20′s. Exploring the ups and downs could be addressed in a documentary, I don’t think a feature film is a good idea – or in good taste.

I personally out of those three actor’s up for the part would want to see Rupert Grint portray Price Harry the most and think he would suit it better then the other two and would do a fine job at it
i so do not get the rob pattinson hype, i guess he’s just not my cup of tea. i think rupert grint would be great! he already has the red hair for the job haha
rob is a good actor in his own way i think….so i think if ever gonna happen,he’ll do his best to do it better,and we will proud of him once again….goodluck rob!…..
I would love to see Robert as Harry, but i’m not convinced of his acting skills just yet. He did great job in Twilight, but it wasn’t the most challenging “character” role, i think. (I couldn’t act for the life of me, but for someone who CAN act i’d think there are more difficult roles…) Grint has the red hair and the same kind of goofy allure, but the persona and gestures etc. are more important in creating the character than same color hair, IMO. Not sure who’d be the best, i haven’t seen anything from R. Friend.
i think rupert would do a better job. and why just prince harry and not prince william? i guess maybe cuz prince harry went through a more rebellious phase.
I think the role should be played by a UK ginger. Rupert Grint would be a fine choice. And besides, Prince Harry is georgous to boot!
He is not attractive at all. I can’t picture him for that role.

Rupert’s a really good actor. I think he should get the part. I love, love Robert Pattinson and I don’t see how anyone can not find him attractive (I’m a little older than him-not a tween) even if you’re not attracted. I just don’t see him in this type of role.

i think robert pattinson is A MILLION times better looking than prince harry. also, since i’m a huge harry potter nerd i have to point out that robert pattinson played cedric diggory in the goblet of fire. he is referred to as “the spare” at one point, so it’s kinda funny that that’s the name of this movie. ok, going to blush and hide in a corner now.

I wonder if the film is just trying to get publicity so they are throwing those names around for attention purposes?
