Anna Paquin Is Taking It Easy While Wedding Planning

Anna Paquin says she is taking her time and enjoying her engagement to Stephen Moyer instead of flipping out and becoming psychotic about the life change.

"It feels organic. It's more about being family that becoming Bridezilla overnight and wearing some big meringue wedding dress. That would scare the s**t out of me. I wasn't the girl who spent hours dreaming of my wedding."

Anna, 27, loves working with her fiance as is means they spend a significant amount of time together. Although she is thrilled to be engaged, she is in no rush to walk down the aisle and says Stephen, 39, feels the same.

"We're not planning the wedding yet. I'm not really that girl, we're not really that couple. We're happy and things are good and we're not on any particular schedule and it'll happen when we have time."

I was that girl. As soon as I could I think I was setting up appointments with catering halls. How did you handle your wedding? Or how do you expect you'll be when the time comes?

oo she's got awesome style!

You mean her stylist has 'awesome style'. Bridezillas are so overrated and my sister is being one and its driving a huge wedge between us. Why are brides so self absorbed and bitchy? Its like get over yourself there is just as much of a chance this is not going to last. Ugh. I hate weddings and the fantasy bs of marriage. Its so unrealistic to say you will be with the same person forever. Not to mention a little depressing.

What makes you think she is dressed by a stylist???? Not all celebs are.

Being a bridezilla is a great way to put a wedge between you and your sisters. My sister is being one and it makes me want to not partake in her wedding. Brides need to get over themselves. Big time.

I can't see stressing over something that's supposed to be a union of love.

Marriage is a union of love, the wedding is about throwing a big party to celebrate you're entering a union of love.

I thought the reception was about throwing a party. Either way, I can't see stressing over it.

Weddings are BS. I say as long as you have fun and take some great photos, who cares what you're wearing or what kind of flowers or cake or whatever? A wedding has very, very little to do with a marriage. It's a tremendous waste of energy, stress, time, and money (even though my parents footed the bill)... If I had/have it to do over again, I'd probably go have a "courthouse wedding" and an insanely fabulous honeymoon... I would still come out ahead by tens of thousands!

I am currently a bride-to-be and i'm definately on top of everything and very organized. As soon as we got engaged I started planning...I'm just soooo excited!!! Weddings are such happy, exciting, amazing times! If you are dealing with a bridezilla, I recommend reminding them of what the wedding is really about- two people expressing their love for each other. I know I've had my bridezilla moments(my sister and I are getting married within 4 months of each other so we've got all sorts of things going on)...and when I took a step back and realized that the wedding will be absolutely perfect no matter what little details there are, I was much happier.

PS I'm totally obsessed with the show "Bridezillas"...its hysterical!

i've heard so many wedding stories. i think i'll just have to learn that nothing will be perfect in my wedding and if something happens, then to not stress over it and not take it seriously.

Am I the only one who thinks this girl is ugly? She is just not a cute girl. In the real world? sure, I guess she is. But by Hollywood standards? Not even close.

I don't know what the big deal is about the two of them.
He's so not hot. He kind of rubs me the wrong way.

I think she is gorgeous (but then I'm biased cause shes from my country NZ!!) and to be honest I'm sick of seeing 'hollywood standard' beauties, they ALL LOOK THE SAME!!!! (and are usually half plastic)

i've always wanted to get married, but don't want a big traditional wedding. it just seems like SUCH a waste of money. i want courthouse vows, then a party and a good honeymoon.

We had a variation of the courthouse wedding and got married on a fishing pier overlooking a river. There were 2 witnesses and the minister--very simple and only cost us $50 out of pocket.

Weddings. Meh! Too many women are focused on that ONE day...good lord. And then they're let down when it's over. Here was my wedding - no guests, got married on the beach in Santa Barbara. We had pics/video taken, did get a limo and went out to dinner and drove around the town.
