Brooke Shields and Jim Belushi - Airplane Oops!

Brooke Shields and Jim Belushi - Airplane Oops!

On Friday, a small Cessna carrying Brooke Shields and Jim Belushi had a little mishap on the runway. The pilot forgot to set the parking brake when he left the airplane! The plane had landed at a private airstrip at Hearst Castle in San Simeon, Calif., where Jim, Brooke and others on the plane were attending a private function.

"The plane rolled a few feet into a parked rental SUV, breaking its sideview mirror and scraping the side of the vehicle, but no injuries were reported," said sheriff's spokesman Rob Bryn.

"It was an unfortunate accident but thankfully everyone is fine," Shields's rep, Jill Fritzo, tells PEOPLE.

What an absentminded pilot! Yikes! Thank goodness they were all off the plane and that it wasn't anything more serious!

I hope they used another pilot to fly to their destination!

I am a aircraft mechanic, yes really. The pilot is an idiot, didn't follow his checklist. And the tires should of been chocked before anyone got off the plane.

it would make me feel better if aircraft mechanics had to be literate

If your referring to the word "chocked" as making CrewChief illiterate perhaps YOU should be a little more literate because that's an actual word. Think before you start making negative comments about people.

Wow, judging me based on your lack of knowledge is funny. For your enjoyment: Wheel chocks (or chocks) are wedges of sturdy material placed behind a vehicle's wheels to prevent accidental movement. Chocks are placed for safety in addition to setting the brakes. Any questions? I promise I will use smaller words next time
