‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy apparently decided to quit the niceties and the “we’re still friends who care for each other a great deal” line that you typically hear when celebs break-up. When Life & Style asked Maksim if he was still friends with ex-fiancee Karina Smirnoff, he gave a candid response.
“No,” he said at the LA County Fair on Sept. 27. “She’s a lot better at hiding her feelings apparently than I am. I just need to drop the sad person act and move on.”
Well, obviously the engagement ended for a reason. Do you find Maksim’s honesty refreshing or in poor taste?

They both come off as arrogant, but I don’t fault the guy for speaking his mind. If some people worried about honesty as much as they worry about offending people, the world would be a better place.

Depends on his tone. If he’s sarcastic and snide, then it’s in poor taste. But if he was being open and honest, then it’s cool.
