Well, I guess this is what a lot of artists do: use personal adversity as a motivation for their art. Usher, who is in the middle of a divorce from his wife, Tameka Foster Raymond, apparently sings these lyrics in a song called ‘Papers’:
“I gave my heart and turned my back against the world ‘cuz you were my girl,” he sings, continuing, “I done damn near lost my mama/I done been through so much drama/I done turned into the man I never thought I’d be/I’m ready to sign them papers.”
Those lyrics probably refer to Usher’s decision to fire his mother as his manager when he was dating Tameka (Usher’s mother reportedly did not approve of his relationship with her).
You can check out the song here. Usher’s album is due out December 8. I wonder if this album will complicate the divorce proceedings?

That’s so sad. You should never be in a relationship where you aren’t accepted into a family. It’s just too much pain over the years and puts a lot of stress on the relationship.

I think he’s pathetic! he made a song about Chilli when they broke up, now this..not very subtle if you ask me…and besides, who are you guys to say they were not good for one another? I feel sad for that woman, this jerk made her 2 kids and he probably left her for a younger woman. Like he did with Chilli.
I can’t stand Usher!!!!!!!! He did the exact same thing when his confessions album came out as he broke things off with Chilli. She said she didn’t even see it coming. I think he did the same think with Tamika. He is so calculating and manipulative it is disgusting. Not to mention he has been cheating on his wife with a Def Jam music exec for a while now. He is the worst kind of man because I bet when he starts promoting the album he will never be up front and honest about the situation. He will just try to make Tamika seem like the worst. I hope his album flops big time.
