Miley Explains Twitter Absence To Fans Via Youtube
Yesterday Miley Cyrus deleted her twitter account. There were rumors circulating that Miley deleted the account because of her Australian co-star Liam Hemsworth (rumors have them romantically linked). But Miley took to the internet to clear up the rumors with this youtube video.
In the video she says "I started living for moments instead of living for people". She goes onto say that she hates how the gossip sites turn her tweets into news and wants to go back to keeping her private life private.
I can understand where she's coming from. She admits becoming a little obsessed, so it's probably a good thing that she deleted the account. However, she's going to lose that close contact with fans. What do you think of Miley's decision to leave Twitter?

I feel you on this one. I do have a facebook profile, but I mainly use it to keep track of friends from all over the country.

Yeah, she is cheesy, I can't say I'm a fan. But I can see where she's coming from. I deleted my Twitter and LJ and don't even really bother with FB too more anymore (or try not to). I find it hard to filter out the negativity and there is just so much floating around online. It was a time and energy drain (for me). There was a short but painful withdrawal period though, LOL.

Not using Twitter doesn't mean there's no fan access. There's still other sites like Facebook and her own site for updates. I really don't see the point in Twitter. The most insignificant things are posted.

I guess if somebody is a fanatic, it makes them feel good to know what somebody is doing every second of their day. Ooh! Miley put chocolate shavings on her milkshake. *I* should put chocolate shavings on a milkshake!
i could care less about anything miley related. spoiled brat trainwreck.

I hate Twitter. It's so pointless. Do people really care what you're doing every five minutes? I guess only self-centred people think so.

..... do not give a freaking sh*t about that post
I'm thinking if she doesn't want what she writes or says on the internet to become news, she should stop creating and posting YouTube videos of herself (which are incredibly painful to watch).

What a ghetto rap that was! LOL! She has enormous teeth. Sorry, I've been thinking it for a long time and I just had to say it outloud.
You know what I think twitter is good for? Companies. It's helpful because you can pull up at any time the Top 10 Trending Topics. It's an amazing tool. Besides that though..my friends and I joke about twittering. I mean, what will the average person's posts come to? "I'm twittering". "I'm still twittering...." Twittering does make sense for someone trying to promote themself, etc.
