The Duggar family from TLC’s hit show 18 And Counting have welcomed their first grandchild into the mix.

Little Mackynzie Renee Duggar arrived on Thursday to her parents Josh and Anna Duggar. She was a healthy weight at 8 pounds and 19½ inches. Josh’s mother Michelle Duggar assisted Anna with the birth.

Josh and Anna have not confirmed whether or not they will be naming all their children names start with “M” as Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar named their children with names all starting with “J”.

The family went on the Today Show to reveal their new baby and just how happy their family is. Tune in to the Today show on Monday for an exclusive interview with the family.

I think Josh and Anna are going to be such great parents! I’m so happy for them :) Congrats you two!

omg, the MIL assisted with the birth, yikes! I cannot imagine my MIL down in my business! I am cringing.

LOL! Have you had a baby yet? Okay, maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t care who saw my “bidniss” when I was giving birth, and I’m not exactly an exhibitionist. It was honestly the last thing I thought or cared about. I’m sure a more modest woman would disagree with me.

  3. bgduckie_01 says:

    congrats to them.

  4. Katie Bee says:

There they are again, awkwardly holding on to eachother. It’s only a matter of time before she’s pregnant again. They’re effing CREEPY.

  5. Monica says:

LOL! I saw that too. I was like, ahhhhh!

  6. bela1127 says:

Congrats to them! I really like this family in general. I wonder how many children Josh and Anna will have. I wouldn’t have as many children as his parents/ her in-laws do, but they all seem to work really well together and happily so which is all that matters.
Although I am amazed at how organized Michelle is I don’t think they are portrayed as overly-perfect. They show the little ones acting up all the time @ the thrift store or when Michelle got her dress for her vow renewal, which is pretty typical.

lara, I haven’t had a baby, and I’m sure your mind is completely elsewhere when you’re giving birth. but i’m in no way modest, and i dont think i could look my MIL in the face again after she saw … EVERYTHING!!

  9. Isis says:

Oh dear lord, they are breeding……..

I don’t watch this show at all, but one of my friends can’t get enough. I’ll have to share the news with her, unless she already knows, of course.

  11. Heli says:

Trust me, you’d not care :-)

  12. DonnaJ says:

    They ARE!

  13. Chelle says:

    Congrats

  14. kimmytoo says:

    Cute baby

  15. DonnaJ says:

    Glad she’s healthy.

  16. Monica says:

hahah. I WISH they did! I would love to see how they’d handle it.

  17. C. says:

Right! They are exploiting far more children. They should have more criticism. ;)

  18. Ariel says:

Oh, look! They used a special spelling of the name, because being the first grandchild of a litter isn’t special enough.

OK, that was mean. I couldn’t quite help myself.

    Congrats to them!

  19. Ariel says:

Right? I have a friend who is the oldest of five. Her two youngest siblings were born when she was 13, so she helped with them a lot. She said she never wants kids of her own.

  20. C. says:

    No kidding!

  21. sweet kiddo says:

    congrats to whoever they are

  22. Nimbus says:

Can ANYONE get a show in the US then?

  23. Nemiha says:

and the answer to that is…. pretty much.

it’s creaper for the tv companies to pay reality tv stars instead of the actors.

  24. Anonymous says:

Gross. The world is overpopulated enough. So selfish.

  25. dieselchicklett says:

    Congratulations.

  26. Monica says:

OMG this family drives me insane!!! I cannot stand them. I do not know why. Maybe it’s because they think they are sooo perfect and insinuate that nothing ever goes wrong in their family which is completely unrealistic.

  27. C. says:

Really. Why don’t they get the same level of criticism that Jon & Kate do?

  28. lara jane says:

I’m sure he’ll be a great dad, considering all of his experience with little ones! Soooo glad they didn’t give her a J name!

  29. Helen says:

Actually I thought all the babysitting was enough to make a person avoid having kids. On the other hand, that’s a lot of uncles and ants! Can you imagine Christmas morning in that house?!
