First Look: Katharine McPhee's 'Had It All'

Oh that blonde hair... I just can't get used to it. The close ups with the red lipstick immediately bring up memories of Katharine McPhee competing on 'American Idol' with her long beautiful brown hair. It's almost as if my brain doesn't want to process what it's seeing.

Take a listen to "Had It All" and let me know what you think.

Yeesh! She looks horrid with blonde hair and red lipstick. It reminds me of Brigitte Nielson. The song is quite decent, though, if you're into the Adult Contemporary genre.

Ha! That statement about Brigitte Nielson is so right.

I agree. She looks washed out with her short bleached hair.

I can't stand these "look at me" photo shoot-style videos. Be creative already. blah. I like her hair a little but that shots with the red lipstick - ick!

I like the song even though it sounds a bit country to me. She looks like hell with the slicked back hair and red lipstick but looks great in the desert shots, IMHO.

Love the song, love the video! Can't wait for her album coming out in January. Over 3 minutes of Kat is a plus!!!

It's not as bad as I would've guessed. Her hair doesn't bother me except slicked back... ew. I do think the dark was more flattering but this cut is cute and fun.

I feel like she's trying to be someone else with this new haircut and blonde hair. I am not a fan. She should go back to her roots and go back to being a brunette. She was more likable that way. She also looks older with this slicked back hair and red lipstick. It's awful!

As everyone else, I don't like the hair slicked back. But I think she looks more comfortable with the blonde hair.

She looks like a random European one hit wonder. And the song sounds like that too, very Eurovision Song Contest-ish

So thought she was stunning with her long brunette hair... this look doesn't compliment her skin tone IMO at all... Does seem like an major attempt at reinventing herself but I so preferred the original...

Why would Katherine think that color looks good on her? It looks terrible with her skin tone.
