Melanie Brown Says Spice Girl Reunion Is Exciting

Melanie Brown says the Spice Girls are planning an “exciting” reunion. The 34-year-old singer has revealed the girl group – also consisting of Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel C and Geri Halliwell – are ecstatic to be working on the comeback project. She told BANG Showbiz:

“We are definitely going to be doing something together again soon. We’re actually working on it right now. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but it’s really, really exciting. I can’t wait to be singing with the girls again!”

However, Mel – also known as ‘Scary Spice’ – has refused to give extra further details of their reunion.

“I really don’t want to say too much just yet.”

Last month, it was reported Mel wanted to get the band back together for a one-off performance in South Africa next summer, at the same time as the soccer World Cup.

At the time, it was suggested Victoria – whose husband is England soccer star David Beckham – may not take part and the girls could perform as a foursome. A source said:

“Mel’s determined to get the girls back together for the World Cup and wants them to plough ahead as a foursome if Victoria doesn’t want to take part. She has got the others excited by the idea of a one-off appearance. They are very interested.”

Do you think Victoria will do the reunion? If she doesn’t, who do you think will step in and replace Posh Spice?

i smell skeletor spice management company coming up with this plan so skeletor can promote her “designs” (which WAS NOT DESIGNED BY HER), remember the tour last time???? every opportunity skeletor was promoting her jeans, perfume etc etc etc

They should continue on without Victoria.

    I smell total desperation….

They are just DESPERATE for attention and as usual they ( or their pathetic PR people/agents) have to use football ( the most popular sport), footballers and their games/clubs/competitions to gain attention and publicity by constantly mentioning the World Cup……as if the World Cup organisers need them……. PATHETIC

  7. kimmytoo says:

couldnt they just pick a different time to do it?

  8. CapturingLife says:

They are all very talented but I wouldn’t go see it if I knew Victoria wasn’t doing it. That’s just me, though.

Why on earth does every old group have to have “comebacks”? I’m not trying to be mean, but I don’t think that the Spice Girls would be popular anymore, even if they were still releasing new material.

It seems like they may have chosen a time when she couldn’t do it on purpose. . . .

    I hope this isn’t true.

The Spice Girls did a reunion tour a couple of years ago that soldout so they are still popular. This reunion is just a few dates not a comeback as a group. Why would they replace Victoria with some random person? They didn’t replace Ginger.
