Chris Pine Is In Talks To Be The New Jack Ryan

Despite starring in 'Star Trek' as the new James Kirk, Chris Pine has been very under-the-radar. That may change with his new role: he's about to become the new Jack Ryan in a reboot of the Tom Clancy series about a CIA analyst.
Paramount Film Group president Adam Goodman said: "Tom Clancy created an unforgettable character with Jack Ryan. With Chris in this role, we've taken our first step in creating a re-boot that lives up to the successful lineage of the franchise."
Talks have just started between Paramount and Chris, but since Paramount also owns the 'Star Trek' franchise, it seems very likely that the talks will go well.
The role of Jack Ryan was previously played by Alec Baldwin ('The Hunt for Red October'), Harrison Ford ('Patriot Games' and 'Clear and Present Danger'), and Ben Affleck ('The Sum of All Fears').

I haven't seen any of the other Clancy movies, but I think he would do a good job with the role.

He is the hottest, I've never really cared about Jack Ryan until now!
i've read the books, seen all movies but one (affleck)..love tom clancy! i think he's a pretty good (and hot!!) actor (but strek is the only movie i've seen him in..) but i think he may be too young for the role. hopefully, if they do go with him, he'll revamp it!
