Jessica Simpson Says Daisy Would Want Her To Move On

Jessica Simpson Says Daisy Would Want Her To Move On

Jessica Simpson is heartbroken over the loss of her precious Daisy. But she thinks that Daisy would approve of her moving on.

Although, she isn't quite ready for that, she shared:

"I haven't really thought about another dog yet, but maybe sometime. [Daisy] would want that."

Who could blame her, it's only been about a month.

"I hold her memory very, very close. It was an unfortunate thing what happened. That I don't have her every day ... It's a very hard thing to talk about."

I'm sure it's difficult and even more so because everyone wants to interview her and get her to talk about it. :(

Popeater shared this bit of advice for any pet owner suffering a loss from the director of PawNation.com:

"The decision to replace a lost pet is a personal one, and there's no single rule for how long one should wait before bringing a new pet into their life," says Persico. "Many owners who have lost a pet say they just woke up one day -- whether it was weeks or years later -- and knew they were ready to move on."

Here's a few pictures of Jessica leaving her hotel in Manhattan with her mom today. Check out her funky luggage - it's from her Jessica Simpson Luggage collection. :) There's also a few older shots of her with Daisy.

Look, I think what happened to her dog is a terrible, terrible thing and I sympathize with her. However, I think she's getting a bit carried away with the whole, "she would want me to move on" thing. Its a dog, and while we love our pets, some love them more than humans, its still a pet...not a human.

I would prefer the company of my Yorkie over any human. Human vs Pet--I am so sick of that bullshit. I appreciate pets as much as humans--they are just as important. Am I the only one?? I put my older Yorkie down 10 months ago==the most difficult thing I have ever experienced-- and read a book by Wallace Sife PHD--saved my ass--I would recommend it to Jess. I found a new one that needed a home and I love her big time. Thought I would never get another one.

No, you're not alone. I agree. Pets give unconditional love and to see one die such and horrible death is heartbreaking. That dog was her constant companion and is a huge loss. It still gets to me reading about it. Watching an innocent suffer is tragic. Fortunately for me, I believe in a higher power and a grander plan. I like to think that Daisy has been reborn into a wonderful life without fear or pain.

Why do people have to harrass her so much? She lost her dog, went through a breakup, I mean, for pete's sake - cut her some slack.

Well, honestly, she annoys the crap out of me, BUT, it is still sad and you have to feel sorry for her. And to be fair, this is the press making a story where there is none. I dont think she'd be giving press conferences about it, but they're asking her.

I know from personal experience one can grieve deeply for their animal companions. For those of us that couldn't have children and even some that can, they become part of your family. Our dogs give us unconditional love and they never fail to make me smile. Anyway, the media is bringing this up and they need to stop. It's hard enough dealing w/the loss of a pet - in this case, we can be sure it was a violent death and that makes it all the more terrible!
Btw, I was an only child and grew up with a dog - had him from the time I was in 1st or 2nd grade until I was almost 22 yrs old. He was my family!! Some people aren't sensitive when it comes to animals and just don't get it.

I hope she gets another dog. She needs a companion in life and someone to look after. She's always seemed like the motherly type.

I felt bad for Jessica when it happened. I have a dog and I love him dearly and would feel just as awful if something like that happened to him. Then I felt bad for Jessica when she said people were being mean to her but now I just don't care anymore. She's pretty much asking to be teased because this is all she talks about and to the media.
