Madonna Says Lady Gaga Has The “It” Factor

Madonna likes Lady Gaga because she has the “IT Factor”. The 51-year-old pop icon was impressed by the ‘Paparazzi’ singer – who is a self-confessed Madonna fan – from the first time she saw her, even though she was still refining her act. Madonna told Rolling Stone magazine:

“When I saw her, she didn’t have a lot of money for her production. She had holes in her fishnets, and there were mistakes everywhere. It was kind of a mess, but I can see that she has that ‘IT Factor’. It’s nice to see that at a raw stage.”

Lady Gaga has cited the ‘Celebration’ singer as an influence on her career and Madonna insists she can see similarities between them both.

“I see myself in Lady Gaga.”

Lady Gaga recently revealed she was thrilled when Madonna attended one of her concerts in New York. The pop star – real name Stefani Germanotta – said:

“My sister texted me and she was like, ‘Madonna is 15 feet away from me. And there are two guys having sex in the audience. I just remember thinking, ‘Wow, this is exactly what I wanted. I’ve got Madonna and I’ve got gay sex!’ ”

This certainly was Lady Gaga’s year.

To get kudos from Madonna is saying a lot. I’m sure she is very proud.

Wow that’s awesome for Lady Gaga! She certainly is unique!

  4. DonnaJ says:

She is a fucking pig…and I’d rather get a compliment from a bum than get one from the other pig; Madonna.

i like Lady Gaga’s music and she has a good voice but shes too theatrical for my liking. i prefer tori amos and regina spektor

  6. Nimbus says:

    She certainly is an ‘it’….

I didn’t have a good impression of her at all, and then I just watched her perform on SNL. Much better than I thought.

  8. Chelle says:

    Nice compliment from Madonna.

I have to admit I like Lady Gag’s music. I don’t like anything else about her but I do like her music.

  10. bgduckie_01 says:

yeah same here. i like some of her music but dont really like her, her costumes, or her performances. i’ll just stick to listening to her music on the radio.

More like the ‘shit’ factor. Her music is lame rip offs of EVERYONE elses music. Nothing original about her. I dont understand how and why people think she is ‘different’ cuz she dresses like an asshole? Cuz her music sounds just like all the other crap on the radio.

And just cuz someone can play the piano does not make them talented, can we please stop calling all people who pick up instruments talented? Talent is the ability to be YOURSELF and to show your gifts. No hide behind some freak show costumes to garner attention for your ridiculously lame music.

  13. Anonymous says:

Definately not!!!! I totally disagree with Madonna, anyone who has to try that hard for attention does not have the IT factor.

  14. supia says:

i think lady gaga is more talented than madonna imo. gaga can play the piano and sing, although her songs arent the type to really show off her abilities. but that doesnt mean madonna doesnt have likable songs, cause she does =)

she’s starting to grow on me

  16. lara jane says:

I just wonder if she even runs around in sweats or whatever when she’s at home, or is she always wearing fishnets (without pants over them)?

  17. dieselchicklett says:

This is a huge compliment for her, but I still don’t like her.

  18. Kristie says:

I absolutely do not get the appeal. Maybe I am just getting old.
