Simon Cowell And Paula Abdul Stay In Touch

Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul stay in contact with one another even though the no longer work together. The former ‘American Idol’ judge even admits that Simon repeatedly expresses his devotion to her during their conversations. She told FOX News:

“I’ve talked to Simon. He misses me, and I know it. I talk to him a lot – he says he loves me and that is really disturbing to me.”

Paula is still struggling to come to terms with her decision to quit, but promises to watch the new series. The singer-and-choreographer said:

“I feel tremendously blessed to have made history with that show. I felt like I was a mamma-bear to cubs and I was there to protect them. I’ll miss that but I’ll be rooting on everyone.”

Do you think they will have her come on as a guest judge? Or is this bridge burned to the ground?

Hahaha I love how she said that is disturbing to her. It’s disturbing to me as well!! And Paula as a guest judge wouldn’t be a good idea. That bridge has already been burned.

i dont hate or love her… but she is a bit too incoherent for me. She should stick to scripted tv shows
i would say make music but i think shes a better dancer than singer
considering most people skip her part of the judging, which is her job… she should be paid less but kudos to her for sticking up for herself

Paula had no choice. Offering her a mere fraction of what her male collegues got is nothing but sheer discrimination.
She was right to want to quit. Go Paula, forget Idol and go on and do your own thing. Idol will not survive without her, its already going downhill. By adding Ellen on it, someone who has no idea about what she’s supposed to judge, Idol has become a joke.

I think she will be back. Its just for press.

i really do think american idol will be quite boring without paula her and simon made the show more entertaing with their love/hate relationship but deep down i think they love eachother

I guess I don’t have anything constructive to say about this. I don’t watch the show.

  7. lara jane says:

Did she have a choice? I always got the impression that she was forced out?

  8. dieselchicklett says:

She made the biggest mistake of her life, leaving American Idol.

  9. kimmytoo says:

i dont think it was her choice.

  10. DonnaJ says:

It was her choice to leave the show. She wasn’t making as much as some of the others and she got hot under the collar and demanded more money. When the show wouldn’t budge, she left. She’s a fool and doesn’t know where her bread is buttered. Apparently 3 million a year just isn’t enough for her.

  11. lara jane says:

Pretty much anything Paula said on the show was nonsense, but she had more warmth than Kara. Simon is the only judge I really respect, but I think they all fill(ed) a particular niche.

  12. maiah912 says:

I think Ellen will probably fill the role as nurturer on the show now that Paula is gone. She always has a way of saying something nice to everyone and can also recognize talent.

  13. I Love Chinolas says:

It would be kinda weird for her to return as a guest judge.

  14. Kathy H says:

    Move on and be Happy!

Paula is the best go Paula Idol doesn’t deserve you .

  16. bgduckie_01 says:

im not sure what else she can do that will be a big hit. all i see her doing is AI but eventually that gets old.

  17. Mistyblue says:

I don’t think she was forced out, or that it was her choice. My impression was that they were in salary negotiations and she asked for a pretty big increase and they countered with a really insulting low offer, truly not fair considering how much Simon and Ryan get, and she had to reject the offer. I think it was just a round of hardball gone wrong on both sides.
