Mariah Carey: Diva On Board
Now it's not like we haven't heard these rumors before. For some reason Mariah Carey is always surround by rumors that call her a diva. All I can say is that when there's smoke there's usually a fire....
“Her security is doing walk-throughs of her performance locations prior to her appearances, as if she’s the president or something,” said one person who was present at one such sweep.
It gets even worse when she's setting up for a performance at a venue!
“She’ll show up with more than a dozen people on her team, and she’s been asking that the people who actually work there are removed from the floor and only her staffers be present.”
But for some this diva-like behavior didn't come as a surprise.
“We were paying for her travel, her expenses, and yet she still wanted to be compensated nearly six figures just for hair and makeup,” said the source.
What do you make of these rumors? True or False?
I think that Mariah herself would say that she was a diva! From her odd way of wearing microminis (on a NOT small body) to only being filmed from one side to her AWKWARD stage presence; she defines what being a diva is! She does have a sense of humor, but she has REAL issues lol! I will never forget the time that MTV set up an interview between her and some kids and she actually waited for them on a lounge chair; laying on her side, with her boobs sticking out like she was waiting to have sex! She is an oddity!

Big deal. Most "Artists" have all sorts of strange requests (including peach rose petals in the toilet after every flush). It's bizarre, but many of it is security detail, control over the outside media and mostly just rituals that they have to have.

Yeah, exactly. I don't think it's an issue really, but a way of life for them.
Sure she gets all this 'diva press' BUT M.C. is so generous to he staff, her friends, her family, charities etc. She does SO MUCH GOOD STUFF that it out weights all the bad we hear. Notice how Vera never posts about her footing random bills at restaurants, paying her staff crazy money and getting them the best accommodations etc. Her friends and staff say she is the most giving and caring person ever. So maybe you should look into her other attributes as opposed to this stupid shit.
So what. She has talent and worked her way to the top. She deserves to be a diva. These other people, not so much.
i love mc. ppl who dont appreciate her talent will always find ways to criticize her. i never hear any rumors of her being rude to ppl. she can have whatever she wants as long as she is polite about it.

I don't think these rumors are totally true. Yes I think she has security sweeps... but than she does have a lot of stalkers. Yes I think she prefers her own people to surround her but that is mostly insecurity not diva behavior. And as pointed out I have heard she is very generous to those around her. Why do you think people hire her still? No amount of talent will cover up rude behavior.

I think the majority of the rumors we hear about her are true, if they weren't at some point she would have spoken out in an interview and addressed them. But she does have the talent to back it up, and you never hear about her being cruel to people, just demanding and high maintenence.
