Angelina Jolie In Talks To Become A Gucci
Angelina Jolie is in discussions to star in 'Gucci' as Patrizia Reggiano, the socialite who was sentenced to 29 years in prison for plotting to murder her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci.
[T]he drama... recaptures the glamorous days of the Gucci family dynasty in the 1970s and '80s, when the family was selling $500 million in product annually. Squabbles hobbled the clan until Maurizio, the grandson of founder Guccio Gucci, came out on top of a power struggle to run the family business. Just when he was about to reestablish the brand name by debuting a line designed by newcomer -- and now film director -- Tom Ford, Maurizio was gunned down in front of his Milan apartment in 1995.
According to Variety, the studio is hiring a writer to work on the script, and the role of Maurizio has not been cast, although Ridley Scott reportedly has approached Leonardo DiCaprio about the role.
To me, this sounds like an interesting movie and a great role for Angelina (and Leo, for that matter). Do you agree or not?

Anyway Angelina Jolie is an amazing actress, she wouldn't have had all those nominations and awards if she wasn't besides it would be amazing to see her as a member of the gucci family. She is not a bad actress, but she is also not an amazing actress either as so many seem to say. She has a niche, and this sounds like it fits right in with it. As with ANY movie, I'll wait untill I see some more about it and decide based on that. Wasn't interested in Beowulf, the Changeling or the Good Shepard. Saw Wanted because the story looked interesting and was completely disappointed in her performance. The fact that she looked emaciated in it didn't help at all.
Angie is versalte actress most are obsessed with her personal life and her looks that it takes it from her outstanding work. She is perfect in wanted critics loved her peformance, she was award nominee in changeling and mighty heart but those are strong works and it was hard for some people to see them. I am happy they got her. There is not one in hollywood right now who can pull it with the apeal.
I think Angie is an amazing actress. She will choose wisely with Brad's help I am sure.
I'd read trash about her for free but pay to see her in a movie......I think not.........although if the role calls for her to be a nut in a mental institute then she's usually not half bad
