This is funny and sad at the same time. It was prompted by someone pretty cruel tweeting this to Jessica Simpson:

Jessica responds with:

And then she tweeted the above Quote of the Day. I'm glad Jessica could make light of it, somewhat. But she must get SO tired of the constant snarky comments and cruel jabs. I don't think my skin could ever be thick enough to deal with the daily insults some of the celebrities deal with.

She actually didn't start writing about her a$$. That person commented on her inspirational quote with a snide remark. Look at her tweets and you'll see. That Mallory person is a wench!

I agree, and I think that when people say she can't sing, they must be jealous because even if you don't like her music, you can't argue with her voice. people just like to be mean.
People are mean everywhere and hiding behind a computer can be so easy to write cruel words. She isn't talentless. I like that movie she made: blond ambition, it was fun to watch and she had charm.
since when is charm talent? Btw, she didn't write the movie you know so I'm not sure if you can credit her for it being fun. I don't care either way, but expressing yourself is ok by me. Just because people are saying negative things doesn't exactly mean they are hiding behind their computer. She puts it out there and people respond.

Oh please, give me a break, that girl can NOT act. She was hideous in every movie she was in. And she can't sing either - she screams ever line of every song. Let's all face it - if she didn't have a great face, great figure and a "charming" personality she wouldn't be a celebrity. I can think of a thousand other people I would like to celebrate instead of her.

You would have better luck with "celebrating" another person on a different thread, wouldn't you? She CAN sing (perhaps you'd like to challenge her to a singing contest?), she's not a great actress, but then as mentioned, no one expects her to win any acting awards. What is your point? She started as a singer - not as an actress - and did pretty well. That wasn't by accident.
Lots of people do well without any talent, dear. I'm sure you're doing fine yourself. It's sad that people said mean things about the loss of her dog and her weight issues etc. (things that we can all relate to), but she is a celebrity and she says stupid things..so does Lindsay, so does Paris Hilton and other dim-witted celebrities. They expect to use a public forum to express themselves without any criticism. They don't like it.....get out of the biz.

Aw, what a cute girl Jess is. She doesn't deserve the meanness! I think her quotes are funny. She's just free-spirited and that is an awesome thing.
She can sing. You can call yourself a music expert and insist that she can't if it makes you feel better about yourself, but she IS vocally talented. Better than Whitney Houston was? No. Good? Yes.
Im not sure if the rumors are true that she cheated on numerous occations with Nick, I dont know either of them, but girl cant catch a break, could be karma, could be just bad luck,, do unto others people.

Seriously, someone explain why so many people hate this woman. I just don't get it. Because she's pretty? Because she has big boobs? Because they had a crush on Nick Lachey? She is definitely not talentless. Nobody is saying she's going to win an Oscar or have the top-selling CD, but she is not without talent.
