And then she tweeted the above Quote of the Day. I’m glad Jessica could make light of it, somewhat. But she must get SO tired of the constant snarky comments and cruel jabs. I don’t think my skin could ever be thick enough to deal with the daily insults some of the celebrities deal with.

Who really deserves all this crap? Lindsay, Paris, the Kardashians…? Aren’t they all trying to sell themselves so they can get rich and famous. What’s the difference?
I’m sure some people are going to argue “Nice” is a talent. I’m sure people are going to argue “stupid” is a talent too.

She can sing. You can call yourself a music expert and insist that she can’t if it makes you feel better about yourself, but she IS vocally talented. Better than Whitney Houston was? No. Good? Yes.

Seriously, someone explain why so many people hate this woman. I just don’t get it. Because she’s pretty? Because she has big boobs? Because they had a crush on Nick Lachey? She is definitely not talentless. Nobody is saying she’s going to win an Oscar or have the top-selling CD, but she is not without talent.
Some people are just mean. She seems to be a nice person who I have never heard say a bad thing about anyone.

since when is charm talent? Btw, she didn’t write the movie you know so I’m not sure if you can credit her for it being fun. I don’t care either way, but expressing yourself is ok by me. Just because people are saying negative things doesn’t exactly mean they are hiding behind their computer. She puts it out there and people respond.

Oh please, give me a break, that girl can NOT act. She was hideous in every movie she was in. And she can’t sing either – she screams ever line of every song. Let’s all face it – if she didn’t have a great face, great figure and a “charming” personality she wouldn’t be a celebrity. I can think of a thousand other people I would like to celebrate instead of her.
You would have better luck with “celebrating” another person on a different thread, wouldn’t you? She CAN sing (perhaps you’d like to challenge her to a singing contest?), she’s not a great actress, but then as mentioned, no one expects her to win any acting awards. What is your point? She started as a singer – not as an actress – and did pretty well. That wasn’t by accident.
Lots of people do well without any talent, dear. I’m sure you’re doing fine yourself. It’s sad that people said mean things about the loss of her dog and her weight issues etc. (things that we can all relate to), but she is a celebrity and she says stupid things..so does Lindsay, so does Paris Hilton and other dim-witted celebrities. They expect to use a public forum to express themselves without any criticism. They don’t like it…..get out of the biz.

I don’t follow her Tweets but I think it’s usually best to kill people with kindness, and I can always appreciate self deprecation.

I agree, and I think that when people say she can’t sing, they must be jealous because even if you don’t like her music, you can’t argue with her voice. people just like to be mean.
