Scarlett Johansson Is Coming To Broadway

Scarlett Johansson is set to make her Broadway debut as a 17-year-old girl.

The 24-year-old actress will appear alongside Liev Schreiber in an adaptation of Arthur Miller’s ‘A View from the Bridge’ which will run in New York’s famous theatre district.

Scarlett will play the role of Catherine, Liev’s character Eddie’s niece.

In the play, longshoreman Eddie becomes increasingly obsessed with orphaned Catherine, who he is raising, but she ends up falling for another man sending him on a path of self-destruction.

Scarlett – who is widely considered to be one of Hollywood’s most beautiful actresses – recently revealed the sex appeal she brings to her roles comes naturally.

“I don’t think about being sexy or being seductive. What you don’t want to see is somebody trying to be sexy. That’s the most unsexy thing.”

Despite having confidence in her natural sexuality, Scarlett is still shocked every time she lands a role.

“It always shocks me, when I get hired for anything. As soon as one project ends you never think you will get the chance again.”

Liev is an accomplished stage actor and won a Tony Award for his performance in a 2005 revival of the play ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’.

I always thought she’d be good in Bye Bye Birdie (in the Ann Margret’s role) on Broadway.

  2. C. says:

She doesn’t do anything for me.

  3. Chelle says:

    Not interested seeing her show.

  4. Monica says:

I dislike her in every way. Not everyone is NATURALLY sexy. Some do have to try, like myself, if i want to be sexy for whatever reason.

  5. I am really a great fan of Hollywood actress Scarlett Johannes, I had watched all her movies and her acting was really amazing in that ,I think she should do some more movies with good directors, fans are eagerly waiting for her new releases.

  6. It helped me in my responsibility

  7. What you don’t want to see is somebody trying to be sexy. That’s the most unsexy thing----i must remember this words

  8. I do partially agree with anastar, but unfortunately, the demand for a theatre show rises with celebrity power influence. It’s all supply and demand, nothing these stars are personally responsible for.

  9. mbt shoes says:

I think that Megan Fox ALWAYS tried to be sexy, and it’s very unnoying.

  10. Handbags says:

theater proves how best the actor/actress is. And I think Meagan con really proves how best she is.

  13. I love her because Johansson rarely discusses her personal life with the press, saying “it’s nice to have everybody not know your business.”

  14. she is so perfect! i really love her

  15. I don’t think its strictly print publications that are having problems, but in many ways times have changed.

I don’t want to see her but I agree that this will prove her talent or lack thereof.

  18. OutInLeftField says:

I would like to see her on Broadway but unfortuantely can’t afford to go to New York. Theater really proves how good an actor/actress is.

  19. anastar says:

I think its somewhat unfair. Actors have been taking the jobs of voice actors in animations and now they are taking the jobs of theater actors.

  20. mcashflash says:

Ah, Scarlett’s one of my favourites. I wish I could make it to New York to see it. Damn financial obligations. I do partially agree with anastar, but unfortunately, the demand for a theatre show rises with celebrity power influence. It’s all supply and demand, nothing these stars are personally responsible for.
As for cartoons, I like it when I can recognize celebrities’ voices.

I guess I’m alone in thinking she’s an awful actress. Maybe Broadway is a better option for her.
