Jay-Z has a new career goal: wedding DJ! The rapper said he would put on an extravagant show, using a pre-recorded set-list rather than employing professional skills.
He said: “I’ve got a whole plan. I’m gonna get me a little Serato set, some DJ software. I’m gonna work on that for six months, then I’m gonna find out which DJ makes the most and charge double and tour, do bar mitzvahs, weddings.
He added: “I’m gonna have video behind me and dancers. I’m gonna have people just go out and pour champagne when I get to a certain song. I’m going to make a whole show of this thing. “
He’d definitely have the best wedding DJ setup I’ve ever seen! He admits that his wedding services won’t be cheap, but says you will get your money’s worth. But he says we should book him early to get the best deal.
“If you want to book me, book me early, because the prices will be a little better because when I get good, I’m really going to go for it.”
He says he won’t go by Jay-Z for the wedding “business”.
“I’m definitely going to go by a different name. I want people to hear it and be like, ‘Wow!’. It’s got to look good in lights.”
I’m going to take a guess here and assume that he’s joking! If he is, he has a great sense of humor. If he’s serious, it’s not quite as big of a leap as Joaquin Phoenix leaving acting behind to become a rapper, right?

You know, yes…he’s a HUGE name, but he’s also richer than god. Why would he say he would find out who makes the most and charges double? Why wouldn’t he be cool and undercut everyone and give people a chance? That sounded like a Diddy thing to say
