Nicole Kidman Is Terrified To Sing
Nicole Kidman, who has previously sang in the movie Moulin Rouge! and had duets with both Ewan McGregor and singer Robbie Williams, says she's hates doing it. Nicole says she's terrified of performing in front of people and had to be convinced to sing in the new musical movie "Nine".
"I was terrified of it. I am not a natural singer in the sense that I don't love getting up in front of a group of people and just belting out a tune. It needs to be coaxed out of me because I want my voice to tell a story and sometimes it doesn't have the capacity to do that."
She felt some pressure when director Rob Marshall told her that he envisioned her role to be "goddess-like". I can only imagine how stressful it was to try to live up to that description. Yikes.
She told Empire magazine:
"When Rob approached me, he told me a role had been written especially. He told me he wanted her to look like a goddess and I was a little overwhelmed by that."
Despite her ability to sing, she has previously said that she would never sing a duet with her husband, Keith Urban.
"We have our work, but most important is our life together, we don't want to blend the two."
Nine is set for release on December 25th. If you aren't familiar with it, here is the brief synopsis:
Famous film director Guido Contini struggles to find harmony in his professional and personal lives, as he engages in dramatic relationships with his wife, his mistress, his muse, his agent, and his mother.

I can't wait till the movie comes out! Looks fantastic. Although, Nicole kind of looks a little plastic in the preview.
Not only am I not interested in seeing "Nine", I have no desire to watch the Goddess of Botox warbling on the big screen.

OH Gawd I'm so not interested in this over-hyped, over-botoxed whiny bean pole of an actress. She belongs on the "C" list for actresses. And yes she has an Oscar but that was a sympathy award. Julianne Moore out acted her ten-fold in that movie.
She's a good actress. Love her movies. Have no clue why she married the dim-witted dwarf Tom Cruise. Still pretty in my book but way out of control with the plastic surgery.
Wow, I can't believe these comments! She is a great actress. She did amazing in The Hours, and it was such a powerful performance. I think it is awful when women knock her for botox. You all realize that men still run Hollywood, right? So if she wants to work, she has to conform to what the directors dictate. Most of the time with movies, hair color and cut, body weight, and botox/fillers, etc. are all dictated by the directors and producers. I would hope that women would try to be sympathetic to the plight of the aging actress, and support their fellow females. Instead, women just tear each other down, keeping the male dominated power structure in place.
Okay, that explains the use of Botox. What explains the marriage to egomaniacal, cult enthusiast Tom Cruise? Insanity?
