Nicole Richie Gets A Restraining Order Against Two Paparazzi
You know things are getting out of control when celebrities have to take it to this level! Nicole Richie obtained a restraining order against two paparazzi: Eduardo Arrivebene and Ivon Miguel. They have been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Nicole and her children, Harlow and Sparrow.
In her filing, Richie states that photographers Eduardo Arrivebene and Ivon Miguel daily "stalk" Richie and her family, and that they "sit outside my house, waiting for me to leave." She alleges that they "scream at me in an attempt to get my reaction, scare me, follow me, chase me in [their] vehicle," causing her "severe emotional distress."
What makes them different from all the other paparazzi, though? They reportedly rear-ended Nicole earlier this month. That's going WAY too far.
"I am fearful that [their] continued presence may cause yet another accident, this time with my infant children in the vehicle," Richie adds. She says that even after the accident, the pair continued to pursue her.
Hopefully this will send a message that there are LIMITS to what the paparazzi can do to get their pictures!

I hope the judicial system in California finally wakes up and realizes this problem is getting serious and laws/regulations need to be put in place to prevent serious injury or even death....

That would be very frightening--having two idiots sit outside your home and shout stuff at you when you leave--especially with two small children. It is insane that papparazzi are allowed to get away with this kind of stuff just because the person is a celebrity.

I'm all for freedom of the press but that's ridiculous. They honestly care more about the almighty dollar than the lives of two babies (and their parents)??

What alot of these Paps do is basically STALK these people... this is against the law is it not???? I feel so bad for these celebs... it must really suck.
Something really needs to be done about the paps and the lengths they will go to, to get a photo of celebs. I remember when a pap sued Britney Spears for running over his foot. Call me crazy but surely that is his fault? You see footage where celebs can't move their car an inch because they are surrounded by paps! Out of control!

Good for her. I hope it sets a precedence and they all have to stay away from kids especially and moving vehicles.

the fact that paparazzi feel it's ok to stalk people the way they do makes me embarrassed to be a human.
