Ashlee Simpson Still Trying To Recover From 'Melrose Place' Let Down
The National Enquirer is reporting that Ashlee Simpson can't get over being fired from 'Melrose Place'. There was a rumor that Heather Locklear pulled some strings and gave the singer the boot to avoid any celebrity competition. Either way, Ashlee's out of a job and some say still really upset about the whole situation.
"Ashlee didn't see it coming, and now she's crushed," divulged an insider. "She invested her heart and soul into the job. She feels like the rug has been pulled out from under her."
This isn't the only problem in Ashlee's life at the moment. A SOURCE is claiming that the rumored troubles in her marriage are true and Ashlee can't stop dieting.
"She is struggling to hold her marriage together, dealing with motherhood and practically starving herself to look good," said the insider.
"Ashlee's friends are concerned that she's headed for an emotional meltdown," said the insider. "She was desperate to establish herself as a serious actress, but now she's worried that she's failing."
Take the source for what it's worth. What do you think about Ashlee's abrupt firing from the show? Will she bounce back? Do you want her to?

The whole "Heather Locklear" thing is just an excuse to cover up the fact that this girl can't act and that's why she got fired. I haven't seen the show and stayed away because she was on it but I've read many comments and most of them say she is terrible.

I'll second that.

I haven't seen her on the show but I'm calling BS on this one.

I don't think she'll ever bounce back because she never really had a solid career in the first place. Her role on 7th Heaven is as close to stardom as she'll ever get.
If I remember right, her part on Melrose Place was not to be forever.

Yup, you remember right.

It's the Enquirer. lol I always feel bad for Ashlee - the media always portray her as this frail little thing on the edge of a breakdown. I didn't watch her on Melrose, so I can't comment on her acting but I love her music and she's a talented dancer, too. No talent? the girl was the youngest person to be accepted into the School of American Ballet at age ELEVEN. I don't get the hating on the Simpson sisters all the time. I think it started with PH and just snowballed. And so often the articles mention the SNL thing. Dude, over half of the singers that perform on there use a vocal track. Big deal - hers got messed up.

I agree with you on so many levels. The SNL thing should be a non-issue at this point--how many years ago was that? Jeez.
heather locklear pulled some string.....riiiiiiiiiight (rolling my eyes)

Sadly, I think she was pushed into being an entertainer like her sister. And while I think Jessica is beautiful, I think her talent is marginal at best. Imagine having to compete with marginal and failing.

Well said, and I agree.
honey, give it a rest. you're not an artist, you have no talent, and nobody cares. just go away and take care of your baby. lose that idiot husband while you're at eat and eat a damn sandwich.
God, you sound like such an idiot!

she should just work on other things since acting and singing are really not working for her.
People are so dramatic. Of course she's going to feel bad after being fired. I'm sure after a couple of weeks of crying she'll do her little jig dance and start doing whatever she does again (what the hell does she do anyways - cause it ain't acting!).

LMFAO Heather wants to avoid celebrity conflict
i feel so bad for this girl, who was allowed to have plastic surgery at such a young age and is now married to an idiot who doesn't really seem to fully respect her.
Jeez, he doesn't even respect himself. Just look at his haircut.
Can't act...Can't sing! Can do plastic face though!!!
And she can do the jig...which is more than her sister can do.

I'm sure she will have another job in the future.
