I’ll have to watch the trailer when I get home, the description sounds kind of silly to me.

I have to say that Jake’s best movie was Bubble Boy…

  3. Artemisia says:

I loved the games, hope this film will do it justice.

  4. Ninni says:

Aww Jake is so yummy. The film however doesn’t seem that interesting, but it would do on a home night with friends, lots of popcorn and the sorts, i think.

  5. Moreaces says:

I really like Jake, so I will see it one way or another

this was used to be my favorite computer game growing up. i dont think i’ll pay $11 to see it in the theatre though, it will just have to come to HBO at some point.

and by the way, Persia is not a mythical land, it’s modern day Iran. sheesh.

  7. Anonymous says:

MYSTICAL! It says the MYSTICAL lands of Persia.

Anyway, this movie could go either way at this point… But I have little faith for video game movies anymore. I had real hope in Hitman too.

I can’t watch the video right now but I’ll check it out later tonight when I get home. It might be a good matinee movie, not sure I want to pay full price for it.

  13. Yap I’m probably one of the few women who can’t stand Jake G., so I’ll probably skip this one. We’ll see. LOL

  14. Thanks for the review. It’s really difficult for me to buy Jake G as an action star. I do adore Ben Kingsley, though! Might see this one in the theater once I hear more about the content.

  15. kchic says:

Not a huge fan of Jake but this looks good!

The “mythical” lands of Persia? Hollywood needs to do its homework. Persia is not mythical, it is modern day Iran. The words Iran and Persia were used interchangeably until 1935, hardly ancient or mythical, when Iran was adopted officially.

  21. elaine123 says:

First of all, it’s “mystical”, not “mythical”, but having said that, if the movie script is set in a more ancient time (which I believe it is), then it’s correct to use the Persian empire reference, not to mention that Persia, as described in historical references, had many mythical and mystical beliefs. The name ‘Persia’ has long been used by the West to describe the nation of Iran, its people, or its ancient empire.
