'2012' Coming To The Small Screen
The movie '2012' is coming to the big screens soon, but that won't be all we'll hear about it: it's also coming to TV, too, according to Entertainment Weekly. Roland Emmerich is the director/producer of the film, and he spilled the details at the '2012' premiere.
"The plan is that it is 2013 and it’s about what happens after the disaster," Emmerich told EW while walking the red carpet for the 2012 premiere Tuesday.
"It is about the resettling of Earth. That is very, very fascinating. (2012 writer/producer) Harald Kloser and I came up with the idea and we have the luxury of having a producer on the film who is a big TV producer, Mark Gordon. We said to Mark, 'Why don't you do a TV show that picks up where the movie leaves off and call it 2013?'
I think it will focus on a group of people who survived but not on the boats … maybe they were on a piece of land that was spared or one that became an island in the process of the crust moving. There are so many possibilities of what they could do and I'd be excited to watch it."
Mark Gordon is one of the producers on 'Grey's Anatomy,' so he knows how to make good television! I can't wait to see the movie '2012,' starring John Cusack and Amanda Peet, and the TV show sounds like an intriguing idea.

I don't even want to see this movie. It will freak the bejeebus out of me. I am already scared enough of Dec. 21, 2012. Is anyone else scared??!! I hope whatever is supposed to happen then WON'T happen so I can live until I'm old and grey.

I love John Cusack, so I planned to see it anyway but those special effects are CRAZY AWESOME! LOL I'm usually not captivated by big action and smash-em-up effects but this one really had me pumped. Can't wait!

i've been waiting to see this movie since they said they might be doing it haha. but im not too sure if the show will actually do good. if it happens, i'll give it a try if the previews look good.
There has been a lot of talking going on about the year 2012 and a lot of movies made up on that subject as well. But the real reason is not known for sure still. Some say solar storm, some say global warming, some say natural causes like tsunami earthquake or volcano and some say asteroid collision. All these only confusing people a lot and thinking of earth getting destroyed isn't really a pleasant thing.
I always lookout for such information. So i think this series will be a cool thing to watch out for.
