According to the Hollywood Reporter, Universal Studios has bought a script called ‘Desperados’ that may become a movie for comedic actress Isla Fisher.
The story is set in motion when a woman sends an indignant e-mail to her new beau, who’s gone silent after they have sex. When she discovers he’s comatose in a Mexican hospital, she races south of the border with her friends in tow to intercept the e-mail before he recovers.
Your new boyfriend is in a coma and you rush across the border over a text? Well, flaky characters are funny ones ![]()
The script is described as “a female-oriented ‘Hangover.’” Well, no one can deny how Bradley Cooper’s star has risen since starring in ‘The Hangover,’ and Isla is certainly funny. Does this sound like something worth seeing to you?

Isla Fisher in “Desperados” a feature comedy described as a female-oriented “Hangover.” i like some movies of her but this one …! I don’t think it is interesting .
Can’t imagine 2 hours coming out of that premise.
Yeah, I generally like her but this movie doesn’t sound so appealing.
She’s purty. I don’t know bout her choice in a baby daddy but she’s purty.
Rent or wait till its on tv.
This sounds SO awful.
I’ve never paid to see an Isla Fisher movie. I saw half of Definitely, Maybe on an airplane and decided to read a magazine instead.
Won’t watch – women aren’t as funny as men.
“Does this sound like something worth seeing to you?” I’d rather watch paint dry.
as a house painter i’d say that you’d rather watch that movie than paint dry ’cause hon, it takes a while and you’d see how much of a bad job you would have done !!
(i kid, of course)
…in bed.
Sounds like it could be cute. I’d probably not see it.
i freaking love that pretty face of hers but it will be a renter
I think it’s funny that she’s aggravated about not hearing from him when it turns out he’s in a coma, but no… going all the way to Mexico just to delete a text doesn’t sound like enough of a plot.
Most movies don’t have much of a plot and it’s not like this one is supposed to be a social commentary of the dangers of modern communications technology…
…or is it?!?
If anyone else was starring, no, I wouldn’t be interested in watching this. I think Isla Fisher is hilarious, though, so I’d watch it.
i’d watch it- gotta love a good chick flick, and this one sounds funny!
p.s. it’s an email not a text.
i like some of her movies but this one doesnt sound too interesting.
this sounds really vapid.
