Megan Fox And Brian Austin Green - So Happy Together
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green seem happy as ever as they ran errands together in Los Angeles, California yesterday afternoon. No problems here!
However, a recent comment Megan said about getting involved in charity work is causing some controversy. The actress admitted that she hasn't aligned herself with a charity because she isn't famous enough to truly make a difference.
"Overall, in terms of this business, I hope to gain the status that will enable me to be truly and legitimately helpful to people," the Daily Star quoted Fox as saying.
"I feel like that's my purpose in life, to do charity work and help people around the world on a global level. "Being part of this business, you have so much influence and you can really make a difference. I'm drawn towards the idea of somehow helping children," she added.
Many media outlets are questioning why Megan wouldn't just get involved now and make whatever difference she can today. Not everyone who gets involved with charity work is famous. Every bit of effort counts.

Not everyone does charity work. Some people don't do anywork and are just used for their name. Yes it would be nice to start some kind of charity work but I think it's dumb to start bashing her because she is honest.

I think she just means that she's waiting to find one she's truly passionate about. I don't think she meant that she's not currently doing any work - just not putting "her name on it", if that makes sense? I love these two. I'm always in the minority. LOL

I'd say that right now is probably the height of her fame, so if she wants to wait until she's more famous, I think now would be the time to do charity work.
However as mentioned, anyone can do charity work. If its a cause she wanted to bring attention to then I'm sure there's 100s of magazines that would offer her some page space for her to tell all about it.
Perhaps she is waiting for the right charity as someone else said, but then again all charities are deserving.
I never understand why people think what she says is outrageous, it all seems just odd, but I guess it's often taken out of context.

if you actually READ the quote she never says that she doesn't think she's famous enough to do charity work - the author of the article put that nasty little spin on her words. she doesn't say she's waiting until she gets famous, she just says she hopes she gets that famous.
also, i HIGHLY doubt that any of us on this board do enough charity work to bash a complete stranger for not doing any.

I think she mean't her name isn't big enough to get the kind of exposure say Nicole Kidman, George Clooney or Angelina get. Those celebs charitys get all kind of press exposure because of who they are. They also get to visit the White House and speak to Congress in hopes of influencing policy because of who they are. I doubt Congress would take Megan Fox seriously.
I don't think this was a cop out. I HATE Megan Fox but even I can READ and hear what she's saying. She's not using it as an excuse. And she's right her name is not big enough to get the kind of global exposure a charity like Unicef would need.
