Some of those questions were very intrusive, very surprised at how she answered them.

She sounds so strong and mature to me. I think she really gets it. It really bothers me to hear people make excuses for Chris and even blaming Rhianna for what he did. The fact that he was sober makes it even worse because he was fully aware of what he was doing and didn't care. When she said that there was no soul in his eyes. I know exactly what she meant. It is a strange thing to witness and feel. He was possessed with rage. Rhianna stay strong and wait for real love. Real love is incapable of such harm. I wish her peace and true love.

Couldn't have said it better...
I agree with ladolcevita. Very tough questions, but she handled them so well.
I've never heard her talk (nor do I listen to her music), but she's very intelligent. I could really hear what she was saying and feel her emotions. Thanks for posting.

I wasn't home to watch it last night and I'll have to catch the videos later.
Rihanna is so strong and shows a level of maturity that is rare for her age. Rihanna, Barbados is proud of you.
I can't believe she's only 21, she seems so mature even compared to some celebs in their 30's. I haven't really seen interviews of Rihanna before and she had started to seem a bit too much of a pop product with forced fierceness in her, but here she seems very normal and not fake at all.. I agree blaming Rihanna is total bs, you don't have to be scared of your partner getting overly mad in the heat of an argument in a normal relationship, no matter how ugly it gets (of course there can still be mental scars left from the bashing) And I don't think a woman hitting a man is any more right than a man hitting a woman, but if you get slapped in the face, it doesn't justify nearly beating the life out of the other. If violence is in the person, there are a million things that can set them off, giving them a "reason"

A very good interview.
Hopefully, this will shut a lot of people up. She showed a lot of dignity and strength. She a victim and for her to come out and speak out about this is very brave.
I know a lot people will say she's just doing this to promote her album, but I feel like this issue would always hound her, and so she's addressing it publicly one time. Hopefully after this, people will leave her be.

If she hadn't done this interview she would have been hounded by questions surrounding that night through out the entire press junket for the album publicity.

I don't think she will ever answer any questions about that night after this interview. It is time we all put it behind us and move on. It will suck for her because every interview she do from this point on they will always try to get her to talk about it. But, I think it was a smart move on her part to do this. I can not tell you how many times I have heard parents say, 'I am not by my child a cd of some girl that lets her bf hit her.' And, there were still a lot of people saying they are probably seeing each other on the down low. But, this interview cleared that up. She said herself she has no desire to ever get back with him.

Everytime Diane asked a question, I cringed. I couldn't believe some of those questions. After this, I don't know what more anybody could ask.

Chris Brown should have been jailed for what he did to Rihana and if she ever gets back with him she needs her head testing cos hes just a coward of a wife beater

so glad you posted this- i missed it on live broadcast!
You people think she said this from the heart lol your nuts. She has lawyers, handlers who tell her what to say. Who ask for the questions before hand and they instruct her how to answer. Intelligent women dont act like she does.
I'm sorry guys. I feel sorry for rihanna and what happened but she contradicted herself a few times in this interview.
1. she said that she never hit chris, but the police report said otherwise
2. Dianne asked her if Chris pushed her into a wall rihanna said "no". And then Dianne said "then what did he do", and rihanna said "he pushed me into a wall". Ummm???
3. At first Rihanna said that she didn't know if she and Chris would be together in the future, and then Dianna said that that wasn't a good decision, and then Rihanna said that she didn't want to be with him again.
4. Then Rihanna went back and forth about "hating" and "loving" Chris (she is clearly confused)
I am not taking sides, and domestic violence is never ok. But I think that Rihanna's story is a little inconsistent and I would like for her to be honest completely instead of saying what her advisers are telling her to say, or saying what will benefit her "empire". If she truly wants to set an example for girls and women then, she needs to be honest about this event so that people can learn from it.

i really doubt she'll be talking about this anywhere else so this will probably be the first and last time we hear about it. maybe when she's 40 and still famous? the only part that i didnt like was the part of when she was asked of when she got shoved onto the wall. she sounded a little in denial there.

Scripted or not she's finally talking about this. Most people might not think so, but i truly believe that after watching this interview a young girl somewhere is thinking about walking away from the abusive and embarassing relationship she might be in. I admire Rihanna for doing this. She sounded very mature and honest about it. Let's not forget that she obviously have her lawyers guiding her thru this. She still is a very young woman and sometimes you need that profesional help to assist you on how to handle tough situations like this. Specially being so personal and intimate. She did great!!!
