Mariah Carey Shoots A New Music Video
When I first saw these pictures, I thought Mariah Carey had arrived to work dressed one way (see above) before getting into wardrobe for the video shoot. My first thought was, She dresses just to go to work!
Then I realized she's wearing pretty much the same outfit; a cropped jacket was added, but I'm pretty sure it's the same dress underneath.
This is a far cry from how she looks in 'Precious,' about which Mariah said:
"They totally changed me. I didn't want to look in the mirror. It was beyond dressing down because Lee Daniels loved to torture me. He really wanted me to not just look plain, he wanted me to look homely. That was his goal. He wanted a mustache and an under-the-eye thing and the bad hair. Now I see why he wanted it because people didn't recognize me and he didn't want me to take people out of the movie because they were seeing Mariah Carey."
Mariah certainly isn't a plain Jane; these pictures make that evident. The most eye-popping part of her outfit here for me? Check out those heels!

i totally agree! she doesn't look bad with the extra weight, what makes her look bad is the fact that she keeps highlighting it by wearing these tiny little outfits. if she dressed more appropriately she would look beautiful

Maybe one day she'll surprise us with an outfit that looks decent.
I can only describe that way she looks with one word: realistic. I am recovering from an eating disorder and I haven´t been heavier for years. I am very curvy right now and I feel terrible but seeing pictures of her just embracing her curves and the weight she has gained....it makes me feel a lot better. So, cut her some slack. If we all looked like this at her age, I think we´d be very pleased. She´s proud of herself the way she is. I have a newfound respect for this girl....
Hey, I'm the same. It's weird looking back at old pictures of when I was very thin and I can't believe I could gain so much weight!

She really is pretty, that's for sure. But she's quite big at the moment, and since she tends to favour tight clothes.. it's not that flattering.
