This is according to People, at least. The two were rumored to have split around the time of Michael Jackson’s untimely death, fueled in part by Janet Jackson telling Harper’s Bazaar she was “single” and Jermaine Dupri’s apparent absence last summer.
“They never really broke up,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Jermaine wanted to give her some space when Michael died.”
That sounds rather odd, but everyone grieves differently. Although Janet and Jermaine may still be dating, don’t take it too far and assume a wedding is in the works.
“They’ve been saying that for years and you don’t see a ring on my finger,” [Jermaine] told PEOPLE on Friday at a Prive Las Vegas party to launch his Nu Pop Movement watch line. “I guess it just sounds good to have that rumor this time of the year or something.”
Maybe they just hit a rough patch? Either way, I’m glad to see this long-term couple back together!
