ABC Cancels Rebecca Romijn's 'Eastwick'

Sad news for fans of Eastwick - the show has been canceled. The consolation is that they will air all 13 episodes that were originally ordered.
According to E!:
ABC has confirmed that no new episodes will be produced beyond the original 13-episode commitment.
Ugly Betty may be moving into Eastwick's Wednesday time slot.
I know several people who will be disappointed. This is one reason why it's hard to risk getting attached to new shows each season - if you really get into it - they give it the ax! Were you watching?

It was a cute show! I agree, though, why bother watching the new shows anymore. They are given the ax before you can blink. Unless it's another (cheap) reality show.

I didn't watch it but you're exactly right. And ABC is the worst offender. They hardly give their new shows a chance to gain footing before they rip them off the air. The sad fact is, it's all about the bottom line, and "reality" tv is cheap to produce and advertise. God forbid they actually make shows WE can "invest" in.
Yes I liked the show. I guess I have to learn to like cops shotting up everything and idiots trying to dance or sing. Now I know why I read more than watch TV. Just pure garbage on it most of the time.

I actually did watch the show but I think it was one of those that could get old if it went on. I think they'll be able to wrap it up nicely by the end of the season.
Im not surprised. I gave the show a chance and watched a couple episodes because I love Rebecca and Lindsay but I must say the show was pretty bad.

I totally agree. I adore Lindsay and was so bummed when Lipstick Jungle was canceled so I figured I'd give Eastwick a chance and about halfway through the third episode I gave up. It was just sitting on my DVR and I couldn't bring myself to watch it because it was so boring.
Still pretty upset that they canceled Trauma...I LOVE that show.

never watched it or knew what it was about, but i always heard about it.
I actually really enjoyed that show. It was probably one of my top favorites of new shows this season. If it doesn't get wrapped up by the 13th episode I think it would be great if they filmed something extra for the dvd to wrap it up.

I don't get attached to shows after getting my heart broken with Veronica Mars, and it lasted for 3 seasons, but it could have lasted for so many more: it was unbelievably good. Crap! now I'm sad again :(

I liked it! But, I guess if it's not some reality housewives, wife swap, survivor show - you aren't going to make it these days.

I am so bummed - this was a great show- totally capped off my weds. night lineup!! That sucks - I hope they wrap it up nicely but chances are they wont since they arent making any new episodes. Too bad for the actors - they had some good ones in it!

Darn, I liked the show! The three actresses were super. The main guy, not so much. He wasn't charismatic or interesting. They should re-cast his role and try again.

Never watched it before, but ABC has gotten rid of other things I loved prematurely. I really enjoyed a show called 'The Days', which didn't even last a full season. :(
