Jon Gosselin Plans To Countersue TLC
According to Radar Online, Jon Gosselin has decided to respond to TLC's breach of contract lawsuit with a lawsuit of his own. He reportedly plans to sue TLC for $5 million dollars.
In the past [Jon, his manager, and attorney] have contended that Jon was not adequately represented when he signed his TLC contract.
Jon is likely to argue that TLC is preventing him from earning a living with a contract that is too restrictive.
In its court filing, TLC noted that it offered to keep paying Jon when it planned to change the show from Jon & Kate Plus 8 to Kate Plus 8. The suit also notes that TLC is not stopping Jon from earning a living and contends he is always able to go back to his former job in Information Technology.
Radar Online reports that no paperwork has been filed to say who is representing Jon in Maryland, the state where TLC filed its lawsuit, and he is scheduled to have to testify in mid-December. His attorney Mark Heller is not licensed to practice in Maryland.
Meanwhile, TLC is claiming that Jon breached his contract (which was exclusive with TLC) when he accepted payment from "various media outlets and for promotional appearances," which is supposed to be prohibited in the TLC contract.
What a mess.

TLC are such a@#$holes. Cry me a river, this man and his 8 kids made you millions and millions of dollars and now you want to sue him because he is trying to get his family back together after you have messed it up. Cut your losses and move on to the next family..victims. If I were Kate I would be pissed if someone was trying to sue my husband..exhusband, he is still the father of my children and this will effect them. Knowing her she is probably part of the suit also. She and TLC probably want him just to give in and let his kids continue to be on their show and they will drop charges.
Jon don't give in, stick up to these butt heads. TLC's creditbility is just going down the drain, they are making a bad name for themselves. I hope people stop watching this station...I am.
No I do not like the crazy things Jon has done but if you were in his shoes lets see how you handle them, no one is perfect, not even kate.

In my opinion TLC is adisgusting bully . they have exploited and helped destroy this family, while selling a FAKE reality show and making billions of dollarsoff them. Now the bullies want to sue one of the parent of the kids while they support the other one and leave the kids in crisis. Where is there moral code and why have they not gotten therapy for the family they helped destroy?
