Samuel Goldwyn Films just released a brand new official trailer & poster for The Yellow Handkerchief, starring Academy Award winner William Hurt, Kristen Stewart, Maria Bello and Eddie Redmayne.

In case you haven’t heard about the movie (from IMDB):

One lazy afternoon in a backwater Louisiana town, Martine takes a leap into an unfamiliar convertible. The driver, Gordy, an awkward young itinerant who eyed her in the diner earlier, isn’t displeased to find this pretty sylph in his front seat. Soon they meet Brett, a laconic, humble man just released from prison. Martine isn’t keen on going solo with Gordy, and now it’s raining cats and dogs, so she invites Brett along, and the unlikely trio sets out, each person unsure of the destination. What ensues is a journey through the lush green byways of rural Louisiana and into the depths of these characters’ souls.
The film hits theaters on February 12th 2010!

  1. QueenOfTrashin says:

Well, having grown up in the South, her accent was good, not too South Mouth as some will do, but she really needed to do a Cajun accent as the film is set in Louisiana. THAT is a difficult accent.

    I’ll probably check it out.

I adoreeee William Hurt. He’s an amazing actor. This’ll go on the queue.

  8. OutInLeftField says:

I love Maria Bello. The description of the movie doesn’t really go with the poster.

  9. DonnaJ says:

I like William Hurt a lot, but somehow the description seems rather lackluster.

  10. Lizzypoo says:

I might actually see a movie with Kristen Stewart. I have mixed emotions about that…LOL

  11. QueenOfTrashin says:

It’s called the Achafalaya Basin. It is spanned by a bridge that is about ten miles long. Beautiful.

  12. Helen says:

I just can’t stand Kristen Stewart’s acting, I think she’s really bad (go ahead, throw the stones)

  13. Anonymous says:

Now, why would you ever say something that? I mean, who doesn’t love an actress who consistently gnaws at her bottom lip, rolls her doe like eyes before batting them innocently, and then flops her hands like she’s speaking some indefinable version of sign (or better still, tries to remove that pesky tangle in her hair by raking her fingers through it over and over again).

  14. kimmytoo says:

    Her accent is on point.

  15. Anonymous says:

Because it sounds eerily similar to the Geico pothole? Just sayin’.

  16. Meemee says:

Wow, the cat claws are out on this one. I do not understand the jealousy and hatred of Kristen Stewart. Envy is very unattractive.

  17. Mizzy says:

just because somebody thinks she’s a bad actress automatically means they’re jealous? This logic escapes me! She may be many wonderful things, but actress is not one of them. sorry.

  18. JesseD says:

LOL at kimmytoo I was just thinking how awful her accent is

  19. Anonymous says:

Can you give details why her accent is wrong?
