Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber are the victims in a plot to extort $100,000 from the family. The plot involves a photograph of their 7 year old daughter that was taken by the nanny during a game of “cops and robbers”. An acquaintance of the nanny then threatened to release the photo.
The photo shows the child “in revealing clothing, bound to a chair and gagged,” say the documents.
It’s pretty disgusting the way an innocent child’s game can be twisted into something more.
He has been identified as Edis Kayalar, 26, a recent deportee to Germany now believed to be in Stuttgart, according to officials. Authorities say that even after his deportation Kayalar continued to demand $100,000 – or he would release the photo to the media.
Cindy’s rep released this statement:
“Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator in the distribution or sale of the photograph of their daughter.”
What a nightmare for their family. Hopefully this gets resolved and the picture doesn’t surface.
