Despite reports that ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro Julianne Hough and country singer/former DWTS contestant Chuck Wicks were spotted together for much of the CMAs, Julianne confirmed to People that the couple have, indeed, split.
“We’re both just really, really busy with our careers, and we spend a lot of time apart from each other – so we’re just taking a little break right now,” Hough, 21, told PEOPLE Thursday night…
“Honestly, Chuck and I are such good friends – we still hang out all the time, and we’re still writing together,” she says.
Julianne told Us Weekly the pair would probably even write some songs about their split.
“We’ll probably write ‘em together.”
It does sound like Julianne is busy; she’s preparing to shoot the remake of ‘Footloose’ with Chace Crawford and isn’t even sure if she’ll be able to return to ‘Dancing with the Stars’ because of it!

I’m not a big fan of Efron but he should’ve been the one to play New Ren, although I think there shouldn’t be a New Ren at all.
Yeah, Zac isn’t doing Footloose anymore, he’s too good for that so now we get gossip boy Chace. He should take his clothes off and have a 3way in the movie to ensure that #1 spot on opening weekend. Anyway, don’t know who this girl is or the guy she dumped but she looks good there.
