GQ Names Its Men Of The Year

I know you’ve been waiting for these selections: who did GQ name their Men of the Year? The people over at GQ have multiple categories (which I think is pretty fun: why limit yourself to one person?). Here they are:

- Clint Eastwood (Bada** of the Year)
Chris Pine (Breakout of the Year)
Barack Obama (Leader of the Year)
Tom Brady (Comeback of the Year)
Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, and Zach Galifianakis (stars of ‘The Hangover’: Funnymen of the Year)

What do you think of these categories and selections?

To all those who are against Obama, it is not like he is the one who messed the country up. He received a country with a failing economy and two wars/ He has had it the worst between all the American presidents. Cut him some slack and vent your anger on the guy who lead you to the situation you are in.

I’m actually more bothered by Tom Brady’s award than Barack Obama’s! LMAO! I can’t stand that douche. Um… Brady, not the President (though I’m no fan of his, either).

  3. Anonymous says:

He had is the worst of all presidents??? Are you kidding? I’m no Obama hater but I think Lincoln, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry Truman had it worse.

  4. Anonymous says:

I agree…I mean about Brady. Didn’t he cheat on his girlfriend? I don’t think that makes a person, “man of the year.”

  5. Anonymous says:

    thank you! my thoughts exactly.

  6. Anonymous says:

well he sure doesn’t have it easy, that’s for sure.

  7. lara jane says:

Well, he moved on and then his ex turned up pregnant (people are saying she did it on purpose, like we know these people or their motives). But it’s not even about that. I can’t stand him as a player, same goes for his jacka$$ coach.

  8. Anonymous says:

    hmmmm. interesting….

  9. DonnaJ says:

    Obama isn’t a president…he’s a rock star.

  10. Anonymous says:

Honey, Bush drove us to bankruptcy with his war and Clinton with the relaxing of the housing laws. Get a clue.

  11. Anonymous says:

these lists are beyond stupid. Barack Obama as leader of the year? ok, so he’s the President. but he’s leading us where? besides bankruptcy, I mean…???

  12. Anonymous says:

so you are saying obama drove us to bankruptcy? lol! rrriiight, because he’s been president for years already.

I think it’s awesome that the fellas from The Hangover were chosen (especially Helms), those guys had me laughing harder than I’ve laughed in a LONG time. Zach & Bradley got a lot of the attention but Ed was HYSTERICAL and deserved praise, too. (same with Heather Graham)

  14. lara jane says:

Ditto! I love Ed Helms on The Office but he was even better in The Hangover. Hil-ar-ious. They all were.

  15. anonymous says:

I agree, Ed Helms had me in tears walking around the whole time without a tooth. Is he also the voice from the hotels.com commercials? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cSRix0TL-Y

  16. DonnaJ says:

    I love Clint.

  17. dyinggiraffe says:

    me too!

  18. Annon says:

    Oh yeah! He’s pure talent and a “manly-man!” ;-)

  19. Katie Bee says:

Me too. The man is like a legend and he was awesome in “Gran Torino”.

  20. dieselchicklett says:

    Clint’s THE MAN!

  21. bgduckie_01 says:

    - Clint Eastwood (Bada** of the Year)
    haha i like this category.

  22. lara jane says:

Me, too! It’s awesome, and he is SO the bada** of pretty much any year.

  23. Anonymous says:

“Leader of the year?” WTF seriously??? He hasnt dont a thing except get into businesses he shouldnt and humiliate the US! Cant wait for the next election!

  24. DonnaJ says:

    That makes two of us.

  25. lara jane says:

Same here! I think we should take over the country, what about you guys? :)

  26. Annon says:

I’m with you on that one too!

  27. Anonymous says:

Do you really think McCain would have done any better? Seriously, any one elected after the Bush mess would have a tough time steering the country back to normalcy.

  28. Anonymous says:

    Me likey the grandpa:)

  29. OutInLeftField says:

Clint Eastwood is the man. And Chris Pine makes me all giddy. Sorry but I just don’t get the whole Bradley Cooper obsession. He really bothered me in The Hangover.

  30. dieselchicklett says:

I couldn’t agree with you guys more!

  31. Anonymous says:

    ditto!!

  32. bgduckie_01 says:

    gran torino was awesome.

  33. Anonymous says:

I think there are more importnat things in this country then hosting the Olympics and trying to dictate people!

  34. audrey says:

Now I want to watch Dirty Harry… I love Clint Eastwood.

  35. bgduckie_01 says:

yeah any year is pretty much right :D

  36. Anonymous says:

exactly. people think it’s an easy thing to fix in less than a year.

  37. lara jane says:

Hell, no, I didn’t want McCain, either! And it wasn’t just Bush that started the mess. Clinton was the one that got us in the whole real estate lending crisis.

  38. DonnaJ says:

Not to mention closing up military bases because he didn’t feel that we needed “all that protection”.

  39. Annon says:

    You’re on! ;-)

  40. DonnaJ says:

We can’t do any worse than he is.
