“I have no set plans for my future. I’ve never had it this good-this is my day in the sun-and I certainly don’t want to look a gift horse in the molars. But Susan [Downey, his wife] and I want to begin to be in our lives as much as we are in our jobs.”
“I’m f–king really good at what I do-and have been for a long time, so I don’t waver on that. But here’s the thing: I can only be a guy on a call sheet probably, I don’t know, maybe a couple more times. It’s something I’m so grateful to have in my palm, and yet I already see its inevitable decay.”
– Robert Downey Jr talking about the beginning of the end of his career

A gem. So great to see him doing so well in all aspects of his life. He deserves it. May I third the suggestion that he should have been on the cover of that People issue?
at least he knows he’s good at what he does and that his time will end someday.
love him as an actor
I totally agree, and was just thinking that as I went to comment.
This man is like fine wine, gets better and better with age, and he doesn’t pull diva ego trips. He should be on that cover of people.
fine wine is a good way to describe him
…now where’s my glass??? lol
I have really enjoyed his last few projects immensely.
Smart guy. It’s good to see him settled and happy.
I hope he saved up some money.
It was a real battle for him to get to where he is now. I hope he at least enjoys it a little.
No, no diva trips. He has had his life time allowance filled for a long time. I wonder though if he can stop working nonstop. I suspect it fills a void in him where drugs had previously found a home. But he came dangerously close to being the male equivalent of Lindsay Lohan at one time, so it is nice to see how far he’s come back.
I would like a glass of that wine as well.
O yes, please, save a glass for me!
He IS f*cking good at what he does. I love that he knows and respects that. I love watching this man’s comeback and success.
I love this man…love him.
yes! i’ll watch him in anything. so glad he’s happy and doing well.
