On November 26, CNN will air a special called ‘CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute’ . It honors “ordinary” people who are contributing to their communities.
The ten people selected were awarded $25,000 and honored with a documentary tribute and a celebrity introduction. Anderson Cooper hosted the event.
“With the recognition they receive on our stage,” said Cooper, who hosted the tribute, “they’ll be able to help thousands and thousands of people. Through their efforts, lives will be changed and lives will be saved.”
Some of the celebs who attended include Eva Mendes, AnnaLynne McCord, Carrie Underwood, Debi Mazar, Greg Kinnear, Holly Robinson Peete, Jenna Fischer, Leona Lewis, Neil Patrick Harris, Terrence Howard, Laila Ali, Masi Oka, and Ricki Lake
