While Tom Cruise is filming 'Knight and Day' in Austria, Katie Holmes seems to be enjoying her time with Suri when she isn't shooting her own film, 'The Romantics.'
Katie and Suri are all over New York City, from shopping during the day to enjoying a girl's night out. When do they get a chance to sleep? LOL
Although Suri looks adorable in her high heels, there is some speculation that wearing them may actually jeopardize her growth.

"A common side effect of adults wearing heels too often is the tightening or shortening of the Achilles tendon," [New York podiatrist Oliver] Zong told FoxNews.com "At Suri’s age, children are growing quickly, and you want everything growing at the same rate. If the tendon is not growing at the same rate as everything else, it could become a problem."
According to Zong, a child should ideally never wear heels, although parents often enter young girls in pageants or allow girls to play dress up in heels for a brief amount of time.
"If a parent allows their child to wear the heels in moderation, that’s one thing, but who’s to say what is moderate for a three year old child," Zong said.

Suri needs to take them off a.s.a.p.! As a little girl I always walked on my toes (In fact, I still do) Which caused that thing the podiatrist talks about. I stick to flats now. High heels are only for special occasions :)
i think katie is becoming to obsessed with dressing her daughter in these heels and outfits all the time! katie always looks like a bumm off the street! she needs to start dessing her child like a 3 yr old in comfortable clothes and shoes! and put a jacket on the child! geeez.

It's not cute at all. It's creepy. If she were playing dress up in mommy's clothes, sure, fine, I get it. But she's not--this is her normal. I guess I'm just old fashioned, but heels are supposed to be sexy. And seeing a 5 or 6 year old (or however old she is) out on the street in heels just depresses me. But like I said, I guess I'm just old fashioned.
I agree. Creepy as hell. Just like little childrens beauty pageants are creepy. Speaks volumes about society. She's just a child, seeing her all sexed up is disturbing. that time will be around the corner soon enough, for now playgrounds should be her natural territory. sad to see.

She needs to take off those damn heels!! I let my daughter play with her little Disney princess heels AT HOME and only for a period of time because I don't want them to mess up her feet. I don't understand how they just let her do what ever she wants, but hey at least she wearing a coat this time....

I wear the heels of my mom when I was a lil girl. I used her suits,purses,pearls,heels and walk around her bedroom and our living room. Im just very lucky I got privacy and not like Suri with the whole world watching her. I use her makeup kit too.heeheee:))))))
Oh for the love of America this is a normal healthy happy girl and family. Just because some folks cant stand certain celebs you make big issues about this.If this is any other baby no one cares but to tear this family and public figures really shows what our society is made of these days.

I can't believe that some people are creticizing this little girl and her parents for allowing her to wear little girls heels. They are made for little girls. Personally i don't see anything wrong or awkward about this. In any normal person's mind allowing your little girl to dress up does not make you a bad parent or have poor parenting skills. It's okey to have an opinion and all, but this is a bit ridiculous. There is better things to worrie about than what Suri Cruise is wearing. The only thing that i would worried about is a kid catching a cold, but i'm sure i did the same as a child. Specially being a girl we can be a little pretentious, and covering up doesn't always seem like a good idea. I remember as a teen i use to step out of the house wearing only a hoodie and my mom want it to strangle me,

Hmmm. I don't anyone who has worn heels for everyday use when they were Katie's age, so don't know if heels could cause long term damage to developing feet. Wearing heels for playing is a bit different then wearing them while out and about in the city.
What actually worries me more are all the pictures we get to see of this little girl ,outside,with no cardigan, shirt or jacket on at all.
I know all about girls in that age and how defiant they can be, but this is wrong. There has to be a limit as to how much the child can decide. And when it comes to "harmful" things, the adult has to step in and decide for the child.
I am in no way believing everything i read or see, but this family really gets under my skin lately. I pity the child cos she will never have a "normal" upbringing.
Oh chill out. She won't die because she is not wearing a jacket outside or wears heels. Her parents aren't conventional but I'm sure she'll be just fine. At least she'll fare way better than Lindsay Lohan.
The shoe soles are well used and Suri is running with ease in those heels and it implies that Suri has been wearing these heels quite often.She has exhibit her ability to manoeuvre around with those heels quite well, so to say that Suri is wearing those shoes for short period of time may probably be not very accurate. Even adults who do not wear heels often trips and kind of clumsy with such heels. I had my reservations initially thinking its just some vanity item but seeing her jumping and walking with ease defies assumptions that these are vanity shoes.
Give them a break!! They are not heels but more like a pump and it looks like a princess pump. Its dress up stuff for kids.

I'm trying to say this with the most honesty as gently as I can... but I'm not sure what to think when the toddler daughter exudes more feminine charm than the mother. I'm sure Katie is leading her life the best she can, but... what's going on?!

I think Suri is absolutely beautiful. I wonder though why it is they never see fit to bundle this child up in a jacket or at least a sweater!!! You always see them wearing their coats and there she is not even in long sleeves but sleeveless mind you and it seems so absurd. What's up with that? Bundle that baby up!!!
