Nicole Murphy, Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife, talked to People about her upcoming wedding to Brothers star Michael Strahan and her new jewelry line, Friendship Love & Peace. She also shared how Eddie feels about her fiance.
“They’re cool,” Murphy, 41, tells PEOPLE of Strahan, 39, and Eddie Murphy, 48, the father of her five children – Bria, 20, Myles, 17, Shayne, 15, Zola, 9, and Bella, 7. “They’ll give each other a hug when they see each other.”
It’s nice when families can continue to be close and supportive after an upset like a divorce. I think it takes a really high level of maturity and love.
Nicole says that she is sticking with a very small wedding this time around:
“It’s my second time around, and I had the big extravagant wedding when I got married to Eddie. I want to do something really simple,” she says. “I want the dress to be flowy and elegant, and I’d love all the guests to wear cream, and no shoes on the beach.
Sounds very laid back and romantic, right?
When Nicole was asked if she and Michael were planning to have more children, her response is hilarious:
“No way!” Murphy says with a chuckle. “I’m waiting for grandbabies now.”
I suppose with the oldest daughter being 20 already, grandkids are probably around the corner in just a few years! Congrats to the happy couple!

LOL at the first comment. Whenever I see Eddie’s name I always think about how awful he behaved about his child with Mel B. Anyway, I am glad he is on good terms with his ex-wife and her new man. And WOW she looks so amazing for 41.
