Taylor Swift Stays Low-Key After AMA Honors

Taylor Swift had to accept her FIVE AMA awards from London, England last night. She kept it low-key afterwards, too, when she was spotted leaving her hotel. Here’s what she said via video satellite when she won Artist of the Year.

Music has never been, ultimately, about competition and to even be mentioned in the category with Michael Jackson is an unimaginable honor,” Swift said.

In an interview, Taylor told CNN she never imagined success would come so soon.

“I think for me the most satisfying thing is going out with my first headlining tour and having every show sell out. That was something that I never dreamed would be so quick to happen.

“Putting Madison Square Garden on sale and having it be sold out in 59 seconds. Like I can’t believe that. I’m still completely blown away by that.

“And I think my parents are most proud of the moment when where we were all sitting in the crowd at the CMA Awards and they heard my name announced as entertainer of the year.

“I think my parents cried more for that moment than any other moment.”

I guess so! Can you IMAGINE watching your child become a singing superstar?

her voice is so mediocre…i’m surprise she won this many awards. i think she’s a little overrated, but at least she sings live unlike some people we know.

I think she seems well-grounded which is pretty odd for a 19-year old these days. Good job, Taylor!
