Katie Holmes Irritates 'New Moon' Fans

Katie Holmes might be one of "those" people. You know, the ones who chat their way through a movie, oblivious to the others around them. Yikes! Apparently Katie and some friends took in a screening of 'New Moon' this weekend but were more interested in chit-chatting than watching.
"Katie talked through all of New Moon. It was unbelievable -- [she and pals] talked nonstop about the movie and everything else," a witness at a recent New York screening reports. "Some people wanted to tell them to be quiet, but when they realized who it was, they stayed silent. No one wanted to shush Katie.
I never would've pegged her as someone who would do that!
That's one of my movie-going pet peeves. That, and people using their cell phones to text and surf the internet during a movie. It's so distracting to see those little lights everywhere in the dark. Would you have shushed her? or any other celebrity?
Here's Suri visiting Katie on the set of her movie 'The Romantics' today. She's all bundled up and looks quite cozy.

One of my big movie gripes is bringing babies and toddlers to a movie not meant for them. Guess what? If your child is going to talk/scream/cry/bounce around and generally not sit still for a 90-minute cartoon, I doubt that they can do it for a two-and-a-half hour feature! Get a babysitter or wait for the dvd! Gah!

yeah exactly. i've just seen ONE little boy who was like 5 or so and he sat so quietly through the whole movie. that was impressive.

Upset because someone talked through New Moon? What, cause there's a plot line they'd miss? Not!
No, it's annoying and rude regardless if it's a movie that keeps you on your toes or a Will Ferrell flick. If you wanna talk, LEAVE the theater!

true. i went to see it and while it was quite possibly the WORST and dumbest movie i've ever seen (how can you make a movie with no plot line!?) there was a group of kids behind me who wouldnt shut up, and it drove me crazy. you dont go to the movies to talk!
I agree! Boring movie and stricly for teens.
I woulda told her to shush, with any luck she would have glassed me or something and then i would get a huge pay out cos Tom wouldnt want me to send her to prison...Hmm if only i was in the cinema!!!
Still, regardless of who you are, or what the plotline in a story is, it is SOOO rude to talk. People have spent money to be there so shut your gob.
Have some R-E-S-P-E-C-T Katie...
I remember when I went to see titanic, i was so excited ....I went on a tuesday late night thinking there would be no children.....a child who was about 7 or 8 years old sitting behind me was yapping his way throughout the whole movie asking stupid questions and kicking my chair...I was so annoyed! I can't believe a parent would bring a child to that type of movie on a school night.
This story is pure, unadulterated bullshit.
EWW..SHAME ON HER, I DON'T CARE WHO SHE IS, I WOULD TELL HER TO SHUT IT. & I LOVE NEW MOON, GONNA SEE IT AGAIN THIS WEEKEND!

I used to shush everyone who irked me during a movie...then my husband pointed out that I was going to get him into a fight (by shooting off my mouth). lol

Oh...years ago my stepfather took my little sister and her friend (they were teens) to see Seven Years in Tibet. I guess they were being real pains, talking and laughing (making fun of the movie) the entire time. My stepfather wouldn't even sit with them - yeah, he should have taken charge of the situation! Anyway, AFTER the movie ended, a woman cornered them in their aisle and yelled at them for spoiling the movie for her. Scared some sense into them finally! Something good ole stepdad should have done.

I asked a lady for my $8 bucks back once. She gave me a funny look so I had to explain it to her. Your big mouth caused me to miss half the damn movie. She stomped off in a huff. The truth hurts. Now, I just speak up. I'm real good at being annoying, too. A couple of teens were in front of me awhile back and they kept chatting and giggling, so I crossed my leg over my knee and swung it, making sure it hit their seats. When they turned around to give me a dirty look, I told them..When you shut up, I'll stop kicking. They switched seats...lol

That's funny :-) Never thought about it
But what would you do do if some one is sitting behind you and either kicking or talking away. I'd love to know, because i too get so annoyed when they do that in the cinema. Don't quite know what to do about it though.

Take a sombrero and slap it on your head. Take it off when the kicking stops...lol

Ugg, people like that just piss me off. I would have told her to shut the F up, regardless of 'who' she is... Damn

Me too! I hate that shit.
So ridiculous that no one said a word to her. Just because she in famous. Cowards. Something in this world goes definitely wrong.

Yeah, it was kind of nuts at the movie theater when i went to see it. Alot of people were talking, going crazy even before the movie started. It was so annoying and irritaring. I had to tell someone behind me to be quiet. I guess other people complained and a theater staff had to come in and ask people to put their cell phones away and be quiet. This is the main reason why i wait for movies to come out on dvd and watch them in the confort of my own home.

I would have told her to shut up. I don't care who she is. I have no problem telling people to shut up in a movie theater. Now that I know Katie did this, I will never pay to see another one of her movies in the theater again. That is just rude and it's one of my biggest pet peeves. I don't care who she is, shut up.

When I saw New Moon in the theater the girl next to me cried the entire time. She was a young teenager and since the movie was a little slow, I was trying to figure out why she was crying. Was she Team Edward and upset that he left? Was she Team Jacob and happy that Edward was gone? Hmm, it was quite the condundrum.

I just saw 2012 last week (WORST movie of all time. Waste of my money and completely amateur with no storyline and terrible graphics and complete cheesiness and unrealisticness the whole time.). The theatre was packed so there were people sitting directly beside me, and almost the whole time they just made out. All I could hear were nasty smooching sounds and as his hand rubbed her side he would like bump me everytime but wouldn't notice. I was disgusted. Those noises are just as annoying as someone talking.

i hate it when ppl talk during the movie. so irritating.
Whenever yappers ruin a movie for me I just complain to the manager on the way out. I've done this 3 or 4 times and always received free passes and an apology.

I have an "annoying and giggly tennager group" magnet, every time, every movie. The good thing is, sometimes they recognize me as their teacher or former teacher and one look is enough ;)
My goodness few of you are so stupid to believe this nonsense.
