If you’ve been following all the drama with Jennifer Lopez and her ex-husband, Ojani Noa, then you knew this was coming: Jennifer’s attorney responded to Ojani’s attorney’s (Ed Meyer) plan to admit the home videos in court tomorrow when they face off.
“Mr. Meyer’s attempt to romanticize his threatened unlawful conduct and turn it into a Jimmy Stewart movie does not make his conduct any less illegal or make him any less culpable,” [Jennifer's attorney, Jay] Lavely said.
Lavely also said out that the so-called “home videos” which were shot during the former marriage of Ms. Lopez and Mr. Noa are private and personal, and are also the subject of two Agreements signed by Mr. Noa, which included confidentiality and non-disclosure covenants, as well as non-disparagement provisions. The first was executed in 1998, and the second was executed in 2005.”
Jennifer’s temporary restraining order expires tomorrow, when the two will face off in court. Jennifer wants to make the restraining order permanent; Ojani obviously wants it lifted.
I’m guessing this is going to end with a new settlement, including a tighter non-disclosure agreement. Then again, Jennifer may have decided that enough is enough and refuse to make any further deals.
