Let me start by pointing this out: Katy Perry’s parents are pastors. Apparently, in a “let’s get to know each other” book swap, Katy’s father gave Russell Brand a copy of his book ‘The Cry,’ which is about helping people find “God’s intervention.”
Russell returned the favor by giving Katy’s father a copy of his book, ‘My Booky Wook,’ which talks about Russell’s past drug use and, um, dalliances with prostitutes. (What in the world was he thinking?)
Now Katy’s parents want Russell “go towards the light” and find God.
I would pay any amount of money to see the look on Russel’s face when they told him that. Priceless!

I love Russell and think he is hot hot hot!! I really think he has come a long way since his “bad days” and he is doing good for himself. I always thought he was a godly person since he is always referring to Jesus in his Shakespeare quotes. LOL!
I think Katy’s parents should definitely read his book to gain some insight to his horrific childhood and the things that led up to his wild days. I agree, these two are moving too fast for me. LOL

There is nothing wrong with her parents being religious, but there is something wrong with them trying to tell their daughter’s husband to “find God”. If that’s what he wanted, he would’ve already done so. A person does not need to find God to be a good person or to “clean up”. They do it because faith provides comfort for them or for other reasons. I think Katy Perry (Hudson) and her family have radical views on religion and are not good role models. Has anyone read her interview in Rolling Stones? It’s almost as if she thinks that being vulgar is okay, because her parents are pastors.

There is the goofy goofy couple that I am living vicariously through. Although I think they are getting serious too soon. I’m not ready for that yet. I’m still in the goofy nooky stage of our relationship. They need to slow down a bit so I can catch up.
