Before Scarlett Johansson traveled to Africa to visit with people in a local hospital, she was warned that she might be “disturbed” by what she saw. That type of warning would make me nervous, too!
“I had a bit of apprehension walking into the first hospital. But I soon realized you’re standing before people. They might be very ill but they’re just people like everyone else. Suddenly you’re not aware of how you’re feeling, how you’re going to look. If you let your guard down and stop being aware of yourself, you’re able to really connect with people.”
Yep, that’s the best way I’ve found to deal with meeting new people when I’m nervous: focus on them, rather than how nervous I feel, and my anxiety isn’t so bad (even though I’ve never traveled to Africa to meet with hospitalized patients).

I did some mission work in Mexico and when you see a place like that, you completely forget all else! The only important thing is trying to help those people. Very eye opening when you see what true poverty is.
How do I deal with meeting new people? Well that would depend on the person and the situation. I try to stay true to myself and not ‘deal’ to them, but just be myself. If they don’t like it, too bad!!!! If they do, great!!!
exactly . it always depends on who you meet ..some people are easy to talk to but some are more introvert so it makes it somewhat difficult but always make sure to stay true to yourself ,if you are outgoing and easy to be around don’t change because the other isn’t… anyway you get the point
