I won’t even post the main pic of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ alum Joanna Krupa’s new PETA ad. Oh my goodness!! Recently, she led a PETA protest outside Barkworks, a Los Angeles pet store that irresponsibly sells puppies even though hundreds of puppies and dogs remain homeless in city animal shelters. At the protest, Krupa also unveiled her racy new ad campaign for PETA.
Titled “Be an Angel for Animals,” the campaign features an image of Krupa posing inside a cathedral wearing a pair of angel wings and covered only by a well-placed cross. The campaign supports PETA’s efforts to promote the adoption of homeless animals.
“You know, we’re trying to spread the word that breeding isn’t the way to go,” says Krupa in an exclusive PETA interview. “Somebody needs to put their foot down and stop this breeding and these puppy mills. … [T]hey’re in these little tiny cages, and all they’re doing is breeding their whole life. It makes me so angry that our government doesn’t do anything about it. So I am!”

Why are people always sexual and naked in their ads? I don’t pay attention to PETA. I love my animals (3 cats, a dog, some fish and a frog) and I hate animal abuse. Their tactics make me not take them seriously at all.
i don’t find this offensive at all….i think she has a great body! people needs to lighten up.
DISGUSTING..WHAT A SACRILEGE
No, it’s not offensive to me. I just don’t like that she’s standing on the doggies’ heads. It almost degrades the dogs which is the opposite of what they are trying to do.
I’ve never really understood PETA’s choice in advertising. I guess they feel like they need that shock to get across to people. I have watched a few of their videos and even was so heartbroken that I stopped eating pork for a few months. I agree that if they toned down their tactics people might give them a chance.
The shock works in getting people talking about it, but I think a lot of people are turned off by their tactics! I guess naked celebrities isn’t shocking enough anymore.
And PETA, it’s great to support the cute puppies, but what about all those feathers you plucked out of the birds in in order to make these wings?
They pick on Christians because they know their church is gonna make a big deal out of it, and hence they’ll get a lot of press.
I think she is a whore anyways…not so shocking she would pose like this…just another way to keep her 5 minutes of fame after DWTS.
Some people just don’t get it, PETA doesn’t do this for the animals, did you see their banned superbowl ad?? How and the world does that help with animal rights seriously, and getting women/men to strip down, none of that helps, how many people would say oh that peta add of those naked people makes me want to help/adopt animals? little to none in my oppinion, I don’t think the people that do those adds do it for the animal either, they do it for the money that PETA gives them, PETA is a good cause, get real people! they do nothing to help besides make a lot of people offended. PS, I do have/owned a lot of animals so don’t say that I don’t like animals.
I am a catholic and am 10 years old. I think it is SO offensive and makes me feel mad because Jesus died on the cross for us and why would she be nude and hold his cross over her and dress like an angel? This might not be a big deal to some people but it is a big deal to me. It’s ok if people ignore me. I am saying this for the good of Jesus Christ and who he is to me.
Good for you, amazing how you stand your ground at such a young age. I respect you and your beliefs, but the church sometimes actually help the very same people they’re trying to stop (think Dan Brown and The DaVinci Code).
Whose crazy idea was it to mix nudity with currently-used religious symbols? Whose support did they think that would earn? Epic PR fail right there.
PETA is a great cause, fighting for animals that can’t fight for themselves. But they are doing themselves (and the animals) a great disservice by employing controversial shock tactics to get their point across. People aren’t going to be as willing to listen to you if they feel like you’re trying to manipulate them to see your view point.
I agree completely. I work with animal rescues, foster them, trap-neuter-return and care for feral cats, etc. etc. and have nothing to do with PETA for these reasons. I get scorned for standing up for animals and called “crazy PETA activist” – their shock tactics are turning people away from helping animals. I’m sick of having to deal with people who now feel that *anyone* who helps animals is some psycho militant.
I agree completely. Apparently the spam filter won’t allow me to say more.
i completely agree. they also don’t offer people realistic solutions to the problems at hand. just demanding that everyone in the world become vegetarian is ridiculous. how about doing more to just ensure that dairy/meat animals are treated humanely while they are feeding us?
Ok, so what’s so shocking? I don’t get it. She’s naked, so what?
It’s not so much that she’s naked, it’s that her naked body is strategically covered by a cross and because of the whole religious imagery. I’m not a Christian, but I can see how this would be offensive.
um..she is holding a cross in front of her naked body – I would say that would be offensive to many.
I agree about the cause, but the photo is a bit self serving in my opinion… just my take on it guys, don’t crucify (get it!!!lol) me…..
yeah, I find that offensive. really offensive. I’m not sure why PETA always needs to be so extreme. I love animals, always adopt and don’t wear fur but I would never associate myself with this shockingly rude, almost militaristic organization. I think I’d rather wear fur than join in their fundamentalist ranks… talk about turning people off of a worthy cause.
ok ..so she a naked “saint”(……..) who wants to save animals …
great body anyway
It is very offensive…
She looks pretty. Not as harsh and manly as she usually does.
the whole cross thing is offensive…..but she still looks nice.
Meh. Whatever..
i don’t find it that offensive. i mean they’re goal was obviously to get people talking about it, so congrats to them bc its working!
Good for you! I’ve volunteered for animal rescue organizations also. They really need people. It’s a shame that some people think all animal activists are crazy. PETA is doing more harm than good.
You raise a very good point.
