Leonardo DiCaprio Gets Animated For The First Time

In his nearly 20 years as an actor, Leonardo DiCaprio has played everything from a heroin addict to a con artist to a millionaire recluse. Even though he has proven himself over and over again, there is one type of character that he has not yet tackled: an animated one! Variety is reporting that Leo will has signed on to voice Jack Frost, one of the characters in the upcoming DreamWorks movie ‘The Guardians’.

“The Guardians” reimagines five popular childhood heroes — Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman and Jack Frost — as members of an elite superhero squad who join forces to fight an evil spirit named Pitch

The movie has a targeted release date of November 2012. I almost hate knowing SO far in advance about movies like this because it feels like FOREVER before they finally get here!

Who do you think would be great voices for the other characters? I think Kate Winslet needs to do one of them. Simply because I LOVE when these two have to give interviews together – they are so close and it’s always a riot.
