Brad Pitt To Run With The Vampires Again?

Brad Pitt is teaming up with Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the Twilight Saga franchise, to make a new vampire flick! Sorry fan girls, but this one won’t involve sparkly vampires, so they tell me. The film is simply titled ‘Vlad’ and was written by actor Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy, Cold Mountain).

follows the life of Dracula as a young prince best known as Vlad the Impaler.

Brad will produce and Summit is in negotiations with Anthony Mandler to direct the film.

Aww, so no Brad and no Rob (not likely, anyway), who would you like to see star as the new Dracula? I’m drawing a total blank! There seems to be a high demand for anything with vampires, and it’s been that way since long before Twilight hit the bookshelves. Are you sick of vampire movies yet?

I really hope they do it justice. I’ve read many books on Vlad and would hate to see them fuck it up.

  2. kimmytoo says:

they are also making a movie from “the Historian”; which is also about Vlad.

Brad was probably the best and sexier vampire to start a movie along side Tom Cruise on “Interview with a vampire” one thing is for sure Rob Pattinson or the twilight saga has nothing on this movie. These two where probably the sexiest to make vampires ever. That being said…I will love to watch him play a vampire again!!!

  7. MizzJ says:

Yay for serious vampire movies and not the mopey emo crap that’s so popular right now. boo for yet another predictable vampire movie.

  17. maggie says:

another vampire movie?? wow, how creative!!

  18. anonymous says:

Seriously, a creative idea knows where to go to die…Hollywood.

  19. Sally15 says:

Sounds gory & scary. Vlad the Impaler was seriously nasty & used to have impaled humans all over the grounds of his castle. This movie won’t be anything like what the “twits” are used to seeing.

  20. bgduckie_01 says:

hmm might be good. but it’s true. i think many of us are getting tired of all these vampire movies.

  21. CapturingLife says:

I’d watch it. I have a thing for vampires and I’m not afraid to admit it. lmao I just watched Interview With a Vampire the other night, I hadn’t seen it in forever! I miss hot Brad. LOL

  22. sweet kiddo says:

i would give it a try if it was good ..not sick of vampires just from twilight and co.

  23. Anonymous says:

I, too, LOVE vampire movies. I do not love the vampire romance crap though. My vampires need to be bloodthirsty and ruthless! Based on looks alone (compared to portraits of Vlad) I think Adrien Brody would fit perfectly. But honestly, I want to see Hugh Jackman as a villain!
